because umikaze has ridiculous torpedo reload time and is more stealthier than other ship.

same reason rate of fire>>>>>>>gun caliber

if you put atlanta and 41cm guns on two battleship with same HP and  have them brawl within the gun range of each other who do you thing will win?

i remember seeing something similar like this back in CBT. a umikaze on tier 10, she manage to sink bb and even  shimakaze.

Haha, that shimakaze would be shocked to know that a T2 sank his ship. :teethhappy:

I think DDs especially IJN DDs is not so much of an issue regarding failed divs. I once thought that as low-tier as a minekaze can hold its own in a tier 10 match, but after watching this video, I would seriously consider buying the Umikaze again and get into T10 matches. I just hope the enemy team were too lazy to screen their capital ships and that my team would not be pissed off on me when they see an Umikaze on their team. :D

The battleship with 5" guns would not be able to get in range fast enough before the one with 41cm guns have dealt a lot of damage. Also, assuming same maneuverability, the BB with the bigger gun can simply stay out of range of the other indefinitely.

i'm considering buying minekaze again for Seal clubbing i mean credit earning.

well i said same range. the real advantage of higher caliber gun is their range, penetration and (if rng allowed) the ability to instantly eliminate a target in an instant.

but when it comes to consistent damage, smaller caliber guns still rules. i remember a video with ichase where he manage to halve's yamato HP with gearing using both HE and fires while invisifiring while the yamato never manage to fire a singe shell to retaliate.

and there's eurobeat mozkva vs tirpitz, using only the two front gun of moskva. (rip to that tirpitz captain)

Yes, but to get into range, the battleship with 5" guns would take a long time to get into range while the other battleship can just pull away while repeatedly raining 41 cm shells.

Hi. Just stumbled upon a hilarious video made by iChaseGaming, and I just want to share it with all of you, and maybe get your opinions about it.

"May not be that bad"... Really, lets be real and come back to reality. Did they win due to two tier 2 DDs spending all that time stalking one BB, hoping and praying he will go off on his own with no escort so they could hound him as they spammed him with torps, mean while iChase's team is losing the match while him and his other buddy chase down ONE ship for several minutes were as if they were in tier 10 DD's they could have ended that BB several minutes earlier and help the rest of their team, but no they were to busy doing +80k damage with there tier 2 DD's (which is really good for a tier 2) but in the end they lost, and having those two tier 2 didn't help overall in securing their victory.

Did a great job showing how a player can take advantage of camo, and also did an excellent job at showing how fail divs FAIL the team's chance to win, because once again 'did they win?' iChase never really mention that, but I doubt they did since even after killing the Montana their team was down 4/7 ships and lacking in points, but good on they for having so much fun.

Now nothing against iChase personally, I watch his video's and I find them very informative, but I due feel like he brushes off the fail div part to easily and never mentions it again even if it could have been a key reason on why his team lost that match.

Aw. I respect your opinion about failed divisions Ryzil but aren't we allowed to have some humor here? I said that it may not be that bad, but i didn't say that it was good either. After all, this is just a game. Aren't we allowed to have some fun just a little bit and not be overly serious about this game? I have joined in matches that have failed divs and not once did I curse the div on why did they brought a Chikuma on a Tier 7 match.

Aerroon has a video of him in Umikaze at tier 8, he gets a win but that's not to say that he's always going to get a win. He may have played a number of games in a fail div losing matches before getting the win and posting that on Youtube to demonstrate his skill.

pretty sure they did it just for fun and not to win.

shimakaze is still superior to over all stats when compare to umikaze.

she got better guns

better speed

longer torpedo range

faster torpedo

and more hp

while umikaze :

has better concealment

turning radius

faster loading torpedoes

and more stealthy torpedo

also this video prove how really "balance" the DD line on this game.

the devs probably made the reload time of lower tier dd to allow new players to learn how to torp faster. (it also allow countless friendly fire at lower tier because mind less player just spam their torpedo whenever they can)

as for those players that are doing fail platoons. i'm not sure if they are trying to boost their friend with lower tier ship or they just wanted to ruin somebody day by losing because their brought under-powered ship into their team.

Sure they might have done it for fun, but what about the other players on the team, what if they actually wanted to play high tiers and win, then here comes along a silly little fail div that just wants to have their own fun. Down right inconsiderate of divs that do this.

And yes I'm aware that they were trying to show how "blanced" DDs are, I just think he didn't emphasized enough that divs like that are a inconvenience to the rest of the team.
