Because WG point isn't historical accurate, it isn't SIM, it's arcade game and half of ingame ship are paper-ship that is never made.

They did make it historically accurate by removing UI before they hotfixed it

 

Everyone whined about not having a UI and that it was impossible to play the game.

with 2 sides

- Historical Accurate

- Balance Everything

 

both have pro and con

 

but regardless that, Simulator games is not very appealing because the Balance is quite broken otherwise.

for example,

all USN Battleship have great Firing System compare to other nation battleship

"Long Lance" Japanese torpedo is very very hard to detect and impossible to see from Planes except in calm water

BB>everything

length of the game could reach hours

etc. etc.

 

so, you want to leave?

go ahead!

we won't offend you to do so...

Let's go historical accurate and give every American ship radar and give Japanese ships invisible Long Lance torpedoes.

10 x DD per team.

2 x CA/CL per team.

1 x BB per team.

2 x CV per team.

 

Takes you 1 day to light up boilers and get ready to depart harbour.

1 Day to depart harbour after your minesweeping force clears the channel.

Another 2 weeks to get to the area of operations.

2 days of stand off trying to find each other.

1 day of maneuvering just to get close enough and in the right positions.

Half a day of long range CV attacks.

20 minutes of actual fighting in which 3 ships take scratch damage and then both sides withdraw out of fuel and ammunition.

 

....

 

 

OR 

 

we stay with an arcade game that lasts 15 minutes....

Dont forget:

 

-Crew casualties that will decrease the performance of the ship.

-a single torpedo hit will break a cruiser (depends on explosive charge and armor of ship) or destroyer into half

-Anti Aircraft effectiveness is based on caliber, ammo type,  model (elevation and traversing efficiency), placement and not by "Auras"
