CV never has problem with invisible fire.

so WG offer invisible AA.

to day. i in my Saipan and got T9 battle.

i use my fighter to find target.:look:

and i found solo Fletcher .

i bring my all TB to that  solo Fletcher  and lost all planes immediately.

WTF! WG buff AA for DD?!  i thought.:hmm:

i know reason in ~3 minutes later that there are 3 CAs behind her.

now . CV spot ability was nerf.:red_button:

I don't know, I'm still doing well on my Saipan. In fact, I'm enjoying the double credit and experience gain for every win with her. I understand your pain though, getting matched up with tier IX ships on a tier VII ain't nice. The Fletcher that wiped your planes may have defensive AA fire equipped which can shoot down planes reasonably.

i mean there are 3 CAs invisible AA behind that Fletcher because weather

if i saw that 3 CAs i will never bring my TB near that Fletcher.

You do know that Fletchers were designed to be AA escorts, right? And have full dual-purpose batteries? And you flew your planes into that?

Not to mention that the higher tier USN destroyers were given Defensive Fire as a consumable choice several updates ago?

Consider it a lesson learned.

i once took down 24planes of MIDWAY in my fletcher, it did take time but i think that proof enough that high tier USN DDs have pretty insane AA

I got destroyed by Saipan's fighters playing as Ryujo so that was an unfair match..

Otherwise in a NORMAL match as Ryujo, everything seemed fine tbh. Its not useless i would say, just the way you play it.

*hate for Saipan intensifies*

Those three CAs could have full concealment build.. Most high tier CAs could have their AA range equal or overlap their air detection range so its entirely possible for them to start shooting your planes and gives you almost no time to react..

Regarding the DD, well Fletcher has a pretty powerful AA that can shoot down entire squadron using DF..

What? why didn't I know of this. So know, not only CVs have their own AA consumable but also DDs? Soon just add them to battleships too so we can finally extinct the CVs.

Excuse me did you say T9 Planes because I swear to god I heard you say T9 planes which expendables faster then rangers planes.

I don't even need to know because Saipan already lose to Ranger simply looking at lots of gameplay and by the stats.

Only the higher tier USN DDs, and only available on one hull variant, IIRC. I think they also have to choose between it and speed boost. It does tie in to their historical abilities.

I just read the title and thought it was good news story  but my hopes were let down after finding that the OP chooses to fly his planes into lead curtains.

According to data from another thread a full-spec fletcher has new-orleans level of AA. You deserved it because you tried to bite off more than you can chew by attacking one of the highest AA destroyers in the game.
