Check your email, if you're lucky there's an offer from WG to drive a T6 Premium tank (A Japanese Tiger) free for 30 days (check your spam folder aswell)

Just redeem the bonus code to get the tank and log into the game, you can keep the tank permanently by completing its missions..

Though i am after the free premium account it you can get (7 days prem just from redeeming the code) and if you complete the in game beginner missions you can extend the premium duration further..

I got 2 weeks of free premium account combined..

Some actives got the email as well (me included) and wasn't able to get the JP Tiger since we were not tagged as inactive, that issue raised a lot of salt on the WoT forums, but Tanitha has since resolved the issue and made it so everyone inactive or active who mistakenly got sent the email, was able to get the Rental JP Tiger to complete the missions to keep it (and get the 7day prem)

As far fetched as the idea was to transport and assemble a tiger from Germany to Japan via submarine, imagine the interesting possibility of what may have occured if the two nations cooperated in fields they lacked expertise on, like the Germans getting Japanese Naval tech and the Japanese getting German tank tech much earlier on

To be fair tanks only had niche roles in the pacific theatre.

Add to this the weight of german tanks like Panther or Tiger... yeah... not so great.

As for early war, i.e. Invasion of China/Poland/France/etc.:

Germany's tanks at this time were fairly useless, Pzkpfw I&II were only good for police duties and greatly outclassed by comparable allied vehicles,

Pzkpfw IIIs were equipped with 37mm guns with rather poor penetration values and bad armor to boot, Pzkpfw IVs were equipped for the sole purpose of

infantry support or command and their short 75mm guns were unable to disable or destroy tanks like the french B1.

Out of all the tanks Germany created during the war the mid/late war Pzkpfw IIIs would've probably been the only really interesting vehicles for Japan.

Pzkpfw IVs were performing badly during the early days of war and later models were unlikely to be of any use due to their weight.

Basically, nothing japanese tanks couldn't already offer anyway, but the army could never effort to create a real contender since the focus of Japan's military funds were on the navy and aviation.

As for the german navy, there wasn't much to benefit from, Germany lacked the ressources to build more large ships and in terms of cruisers and submarines

were one of the leading parties technologywise.

Nevermind that some technological ideas actually influenced ships like the Bismarck-class or Graf Zeppelin.

(Although the later would've been hopelessly outclassed by most allied escort carriers)

Long story short, there were no interesting possibilities, because both nations already shared technology whenever possible, but Germany in particular lacked

the ressources to achieve anything with what they learned.
