if CV put all their effort to kill BB, what can BB do?

last 2 match in my fuso and nagato is completely hellish for me.

both match have CV and CV from both match seem to put all their effort killing BB (me)

in fuso match is a bit okay since that CV let me go after 1 wave

but in match of my nagato....

2 TB squad doing cross drop and then 1 DB squad set a massive fire on me

I survive a first wave with 60% hp left, have to deal with enemy BB to help my team CA push the cap. of cause loss some HP doing that.

than another wave coming, 2 TB 1 DB heading straight for me. only roughly 40% HP remain, both repair and damage control are in cool down...

...... all I can think of is ....  I'm dead.... there's nothing I can do...

I'm die in just a first half of the match.. I can't do much anything, of cause my credit bleed out too.

I don't blame CV since BB are they natural snack but...

please help me handle this kind of situation T_T

i mean... how to hold my morale after facing this.

Run! Run to the nearest cruiser with best AA (USN Cruisers for example), especially if the carrier really wants you dead.

Or request for CV's fighter support, that work too.

Or, be a gentleman and die like a boss. And try to bring someone with you.

BalanceTM

Joking aside. i don't know. Nagato can shoot down some of my Ryujo planes (i don't know what you facing). Nagato has 40? AA rating, mean not bad. Maybe other target are not available? They choose you because other are cruiser and USN BBs. Stick close to them. Or even just being in a group, combine AA.

Keep turning..turning. Upgrade rudder shift. Hold on to repair.

Did I say anything new? probably not lol. They has been said to death.

And your wife is a CV. Ask her!!

Stay with AA Cruisers.

If you can't, you will probably be torp and bomb fodder.

Target TB squadrons as priority with your AA as the more you can shoot down the less torps you have to deal with.

But bottom line.......Stay with your cruisers.

"But how am I suppose to stay with the CA's and snipe at +20km at the same time?" IJN BB's most likely.

This. If you're being CV targeted its because you are the least protected target they've seen.

You can't! In order to survive those planes attack, you need to stick with the cruisers, not sniping at the back and hope no DBs or TBs will attack you. Which means, you need to stay at front, and man up! You can repaint the ship at the port, no need to worry about the paint job.

Not much you can do when a CV eyeballs you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rock-paper-scissor at it's best

Though lately i've been seeing CV players go after the smaller, more helpless target instead which is DDs

Stay with AA cruisers and try to keep formation. As a CV player, that's the most painful prospect. If can't, stay close to other BBs and share AA bubble.

Once you see torpers on the minimap, immediately ctrl+click on it and start turning and pray that it's the bare minimum. Although that's already very late, it might help a bit.

Also, never EVER sail into narrow channels... If a CV catches you in a narrow channel wide enough for manual torp, you will get it

I like how some say "just stick with the cruisers", for BBs T7 and under that isn't necessarily possible, they just aren't fast enough, the cruisers are faster by about 7-12knts up to T7. The exceptions to this rule are the kongo and myogi (or premium Ishizuchi). That being said it is a good idea to be in the same general area and as close as your slow speed will allow.

Something you might not think to do is group together the BBs, they only lack the defensive fire and often have more AA guns. If the cruisers run away get in a tight formation with other BBs, this can also be good for the purposes of pushing a flank. They'll still get their fish in the water so you still need to evade, but they should lose more planes if done right.

Myself I find there are a few things you need to do in order to maximise your chances of survival. Firstly be as close to the cruisers as you can, if you have to div up with some cruiser friends. Secondly take a whole bunch of the AA upgrades, they really do help shoot down more planes, and after a few squads are completely shot down many CV players will leave you alone. The Colorado is an AA beast when upgraded for AA. Lastly don't leave turning til the last minute, if you see a squad coming for you begin the turn before they even get into your AA range. It will prolong their time in your AA at the very least but should also result in fewer torpedo hits.

You should feel happy about the fact you at least survive one strike (or two) with your BB, I've noticed many CVs are using their bombers against DDs and even some cruisers to devastating effect. They don't last the first strike frequently. I've had several CV players manage to sink me in a DD despite severe evasive maneuvers, doesn't happen as often as attacks on my BBs, but they are more likely to result in sinking. I sunk a Kirov with my zuiho in one strike, something I couldn't expect to do against a competent BB player.

As everyone said, go to a nearby cruiser.

When I'm playing CVs, when a target BB is alone, if I want him dead, he will be dead, only a matter of time.

Well, as long as his ally CA's AA bubble doesn't reach or as long as the BB isn't a USN BB T8+.

But personally, I target BBs last since I always go for enemy DDs first as I see them the most tactical class the enemy has(especially in domination matches)

well, it seem CV I face are skillful one, doing perfect cross-drop which guarantee at least 4 hit ( 1 from squad I try to evade, 3 from another squad that land perfect hit) and I have to endure flooding until he put bomb and set fire on me. (to put out both)

if he really put that much of effort.... I guess he deserve some kill.

beside, it's domination with 4 cap, all CA are scatter around... can't catch up with them

Nagato and fuso aa is pretty shit now, so you really need any cruiser (even if ijn) simply for the DF, so buddy up and make some love shooting down planes ~~

Hmmmm. I believed the developers answered that question/whine in internal conversation back in 2014 when the game hits Closed Beta Weekends, forgot where I found that but it's leaked & shared by some blogs.

td;dr version of that internal convo and I quote: *rage* "GET NEAR TO CRUISERS, YOU <censored> <censored> WHINERS!!!"

For me though, I do Battleship escort & match their speed to do AA screening & torpedo shield scan. Depending on Cruiser's performance & ability. But mostly do destroyer support & kill enemy destroyers coz they're bigger threat to allied team.

I really can't fault you(or anyone for that matter) for getting singled out by a CV if the ally cruisers go full speed since BBs really are much slower especially the USN ones. It's pretty much a shared responsibility.
