Why does a tier 7 CV have tier 9 planes equipped?

And that 2/3/0 loadout, its Taiho in tier 7 with American planes.

Are they going to keep it this way when it comes available to the public?

I dont think so, but if WG sell it like that i will just simply buy it because WG cannot nerf premium ship without the outrage around the globe

No. It was changed.

Why does a tier 7 CV have tier 9 planes equipped?

It's a way to differentiate them from other ships. OP or not. Your call.

And that 2/3/0 loadout, its Taiho in tier 7 with American planes.

Now it's 3-0-1 or 2-2-0 with 3 plans in each squadran

Except the lone dive bomber squad with has eight planes in it.

Aye, thanks for the update.

Well, with the plane loadout change it's definitely not OP at all.

Although any Saipan doing a 3/0/1 loadout is like a sucker punch to the opposing CV.

(The lone dive bomber squad would also be an unkillable one-shot kill squadron)

EDIT: They're still testing it so there might still be changes

Just wait for the final release before complaining.

Its not a complaint.

I go for whatever is the best.

I was thinking of starting CV play if Saipan stayed the way it was.

Actually I don't see the Saipan is in anyway too OP for a team based game like warships.

Saipan should be very good at inflicting damage with very little TB loss if played correctly

(AD1 being able to strike so fast and after attacking outrun any FT all the way up to T9)

(And with 2x3 F4U-4s for escort)

As terrifying as Saipan is in doing pure damage with TBs, don't forget it does not have DBs for follow up fires.

The fighters fly so fast that they are able to do a lot more spotting and stuff but hey, Hiryu has 6 squadrons, and FTs still need to replenish ammo :D

F4Us seem off the chart but it's quite balanced with numbers - fighting with a Ranger it's 3 vs 6, if you failed to strafe them it's likely you'll lose the dogfight, and Hiryu probably won't feel the pressure as with the Ranger.

(Still I have to be fair - they're goddamn fast :D hope Saipan comes to SEA soon)

I think the Saipan would add some variety to the mid-tier gameplay actually :D

Air superiority is pretty much between a balanced Hiryu and air superiority Ranger, (don't know about 312 Hiryu, never met them much)

Damage wise, Saipan could do pretty good damage with TBs but no fire damage and limited TBs, which means you probably shouldn't expect Saipan's output to simply outdo the Hiryu and Ranger.

There are TWO things I want to point out though.

1.Saipan is basically striking with 6 TBs only at any given time, but it's pretty likely they'll ALWAYS get the 6 torps in the water. And the planes are so fast it's hard to avoid.

2.Saipan is unlikely to lose a lot of planes in a single strike. A good player with a Saipan could still be sending out 6 TBs every time he launches even till the very     end of the game.

So instead of sending something straight to hell,  Saipan would be continuosly dealing damage to your allies throughout the match. And they'll be doing that without much of a problem, considering it's in the hands of a good captain.

Still, max damage is still going to be a bit limited - they're being spread out through the match

(For the average player actually. Top notch CV players are gonna wreck everything with AD1 - though top notch CV players wreck everything with every CV.)

So, Saipan OP? No. Instead it introduces an interesting CV playstyle. Considering most CV players are far from mastering this type of ship(speaking of myself), Saipan is more able to screw up your game than win the game for you - the case with most CVs.

yeah, saipan is a smurf ship for experienced CV players and probably will piss a lot of wallet warriors and we'll soon see complaints in forum about how they su*k. all i see, though, is a strafe food for my fighters in my hiryuu
