(No easy difficulty cuz just do co op battle for that)

Normal Difficulty

Battle of the Denmark Strait: Player on the KM side, ship restriction : one German tier 8 BB, one German tier 8 CA.  enemy Ai : one tier 8 B + one tier 7 BB. 

Battle of Midway: Player on the USS side, ship restriction : 3 tier 8 US CV. enemy AI: 4*tier 7 IJN CV.

Battle of Coral Sea: player on the USS side, ship restriction: 2 tier 8 US CV, enemy AI: 2 *tier 8 IJN CV, 1* tier 5 IJN CV

---------------------------------

Hard difficulty

Battle of the Philippine Sea: Player on the IJN side , ship restriction: 1*tier 9 IJN CV, 2*IJN tier 8 CV, 2*IJN tier 6 CV. 3*IJN tier 5 CV, 

meanwhile on the US (enemy AI) side------------------------------------: 15* tier 9 US CV:trollface:

Hell Difficulty

Battle of Okinawa: Player on the IJN side, ship restriction: 1*tier 10 IJN BB, 1* tier 5 IJN CL(Agano class when), 8* tier 9 IJN DD,

I would I agree if this is players vs. AI. See what happened to WoT when they set it to players vs. players, imbalance matchmaking & long queue time.

 

And... suggested many times already, I believe?

This actually.

 

With vs AI, the player side CAN be outnumbered and out-tiered which can lead to more exciting matchups. It can also be set up to be objective type missions. Like "escort CV to point A" or something. Restrictions on ship type or specific ships can also be easier met.

If we do see actions like the sinking of the Bismarck, or Operation Ten-Go, we'll probably have something like the White Tiger battles on World of Tanks years before. In this case, Bismarck (and Yamato) would have massively increased resistance, and their objective is just to survive.

Now that I think about it, if there were to be a historical battle in which a lot of CVs participated, bots or no bots it would literally be a deathzone to get targeted. Imagine getting targetted by more than 4 TB squadrons(much worse if USN) :trollface: that even auto-drops are so deadly.

 

Set every enemy CV bot to strike loadout too :D

wait what it shouldn't be that hard should it? I played a number of PvEs , and although not as much as PvP but me in general think its much easier

While I really like the concept of having historical scenarios in the game, the very un-historical nature of the gameplay may make this quite disappointing.

 

For various reasons Historical battles in WoT were also a massive failure, hopefully they wouldn't repeat the mistakes made there.

Random PvP mode just didn't work for one thing.  It either has to be PvE, or create your own teams, or both.

 

The other issue is that half the ships we'd like to see in historical scenarios aren't in game yet.

 

We're probably closer to being able to re-create episodes from Arpeggio of Blue Steel.  Just need I-401

Interesting concept, will it not be better to play it as a player-organized room? where we can play with friends for fun without any exp or credits, just to gain certain historical battle based achievements? or a special event where the Dev Team vs the rest for some specific Historical Battle.

It's a lot easier than PvP, but as I said, if you have a team full of low IQ pond scum, it still is hard to get a win.

 

 

 

Look at your own winrate in PVE and you have the balls to say its hard to get a win in it? Funny.

 

The average win rate for PVP on this server is 51.27% from http://warshipstats.com/ On this server.

 

a 49% chance to lose a game based on statistical average off your teammates is alot lower then the 5% chance you get a team of complete muppets that somehow lose to a Bot that is designed to miss you on purpose, unless you are deliberately in knife fight range

 

 

 

No because USN would CV spam and zerg the map with planes...

On another note, Isn't it great that we have this own little containment zone where all the players who "Hate PVP" aka baddies who can't learn the game at all can play and frolick in. Nice little habitat.

 

I'm all for a Historical battle mode vs AI mind you, I'm not completely against it. But this is because I love my warship history and would love to re-enact historical battles. Something that just isn't possible with players.

Harsh!  It's also helpful for players who are still learning the game, or getting the feel for a new ship.

It could be so much more than that if they were willing to put in the effort, and have varying difficulty levels/PvE missions etc.

 

I stopped playing Co-op much when it became too much of a walkover.
