I think I might have had a similar situation to you when patch 0.5.3.2,

Are you running a AMD-based Graphics Card?

If possible, Could you paste your dxdiag file onto a post?

I know your problem then.

What you need to do is:

Step 1:

Download Updated Graphics Driver

To do this, download the driver onto your desktop HERE so there are no headaches later on. Find out your Windows version etc. etc.

Step 2:

Uninstall the Graphics Driver

To do this:

  • Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.
  • Select AMD Catalyst Install Manager (or similar to anything AMD related), and then click Uninstall.
  • Now, The install manager should pop up, Just make sure everything is ticked and click Uninstall

During the Uninstall, your computer will restart and etc. Your screen will become very pixelated at the end. This is completely normal.

Step 3:

Install the Graphics Driver Again

Just open the Installer file you have in an accessible location. An uncluttered desktop is usually the best spot.

Tick Everything and Click Install, Just watch for the ninja toolbar install (I hate them as well)

Wait a little and the magic will happen by itself.

Step 4:

Install Microsoft C++ Redistributable 2010, 2012 and 2015 (for safe measure)

Download HERE

Step 5:

Restart Computer

Step 6:

Try to play the game.

This should fix your problem.

I've updated my AMD graphics drivers. Still having game crash. Will do a wipe and reinstall.

Have you updated the C++ Redistributable Libraries?

Also install any Service Packs if Windows 7 etc. (Win 7 = SP1)

Download and Install the C++ Libraries anyway. The game itself may not be the only problem as I've tried your method before and It still didn't work the first time.

I'll try my fix. If that doesn't work i'll come back and report on it.

There're two kinds of crash happened recently with WOWS on my PC

1. BigWorld Engine encountered ... blah blah and it says MSVCR110.dll is faulty module. Most likely occured while game's loading.

2. Being sent to desktop while I'm in game for no reason, can't return to WOWS on the taskbar, it's just freezed, and it does crashes my AMD driver for good, recent WOWS updates cause the crash, it hasn't ever happened until recent updates.
