If I recall the WG 2016 video, Moskova is the tier 10 Cruiser it's originally under name of "Project ###". I don't know the exact number though.

The 2 last Canceled Soviet Heavy Cruiser should be kronstahdt and stalingard Class. (before missile era)

Some would called it battlecruiser, because the heavy armament it carried (15inch gun for kronstadt and 12inch for stalingard class) -

both are around 10.000 tons lighter than Tripitz displacement.

I look forward to trying out the Kirov. :D

From what a few users have said, it seems that most of these will be light cruisers so it might fit your taste better.

I'm saving free exp to skip to the Kirov, it looks fun :playing:

Also Dmitriy Donskoy & Moskva certainly looks badass

Kutuzov is a CL so it makes sense why it doesn't have decent citadel protection..

RU CAs could be another story..

Yeah but thats a post war CL. You would think that the Soviets would have learnt about Citadel Protection after the war.

Doubtful with most of the soviet navy being blockaded or too afraid to leave port.

"Hurr durr, we execute captains that sail out and perform badly, nothing could ever go wrong with this!"

So they could only rely on foreign experience and last I checked the temperature between the west and russia post ww2 was quite... icy.

No, Sverdlov?

T_T

oh WG

y u so cruel?

Interesting, It is possible that a cruiser line move to battlecruiser (or battleship) line, like Medium to Heavy in WoT?

"Hurr durr, we execute captains that sail out and perform badly, nothing could ever go wrong with this!"

"Those who retreat will be acknowledge as Traitor And will be execute immediately!"

Guess returning to port count as retreat

Oh hey, apparently their stats are out. :D

http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/69737-new-russian-cruisers-looking-at-the-stats/

To quote that post's OP

Rate of Fire for top guns.

II -  5s or 12rpm

III - 7.5s or 8rpm

IV - 7.5s or 8rpm

V - 20s (no thats not a typo) or 3rpm

VI - 8s or 7.5rpm

VII - 8s or 7.5rpm

VIII - 8s or 7.5rpm

IX -  8s or 7.5rpm

X - 10.35s or 5.79rpm

That rudder shift time of those ships and the short range on the tier 4 though. :hiding:

So the Russians have some famous cruisers of the Russo Japanese war, a single WW1 era light cruiser, an interwar intermediate (7" gun) cruiser (Kirov), A mogami 2.1(Chapayev) and 4 paper ships at tiers 6,7,9,10.

Admittedly the Russian Navy hasn't been a proper fleet since Tsushima, and the Germans didn't really have a massive fleet either by WW2 standards compared to their days of rivalling the Royal Navy so I'm kinda looking foward to them
