No wonder I get annoyed and frustrated with this game and then rant and rave etc.

Playing in my North Carolina, I don't have many HP left and I engage a tier 6 Cleveland and the range is close,  under 11km. I shoot and my shots miss hahaha nice one RNG. The Cleveland hasn't yet fired at me as he is shooting another ship.

My Guns reload I fire again, range about 7-8 km lol thanks again RNG shots don't do much damage haha, Then the Cleveland starts to fire on me, first shots hit and sets me on fire, I use my repair to put the fire out and while my repair is activated the Cleveland hits me another 3 times and each time he sets me on fire lol well played RNG, My guns have reloaded I fire, range about 5 km I hit and kill him, the Cleveland's get a last shot off (as ships always seem to do) and guess what he hits me and sets me on fire, after he is already dead. lol lol lol so I burn and die as you do.

 

Now the thing that makes me rant and rave is the fact that we have a tier 6 cruiser fighting a tier 8 BB and this little tier 6 cruiser with 5 shots gets 5 hits and manages to set a tier 8 BB on fire 5 times in a row  YES 5 TIMES IN A ROW PEOPLE, and that lady's and Gentleman is a load of crap and BS and that's why this game really has gone to the dogs.

It just so full of BS and rubbish, and crap that just shouldn't happen, but it does all because of RNG and its BS.

 

Sure HE sets ships on fire but 5 hits and 5 fires all in a row ???? GET STUFFED!!!!!

 

This game really has been designed to suck the money out of players by adding 1) Donkey ships to get players to free XP them.

                                                                                                                                2) Making sure new ships with no upgrades lose to get you to use free XP to upgrade them.

                                                                                                                                3) 80-90% of ships XP researched, then make it just about impossible to get wins, so u free XP the last 10k research points.

                                                                                                                                4) Free XP staring at you every time you go to port to look at a ship.

 

If WG actually made a good PLAYABLE game, then I'm sure MORE players would play it and be happy to spend money, but when you over charge players for items in the game and design the game full of just crap and rubbish that just shouldn't happen, all because you want players to spend money on the game to fund your lavasih lifestyle then to me your no better than a.................

The idea of the game is great.

The graphic's are good.

but is it a playable game ??? NO it is not.

Its even funnier when you start circle strafing them, and they can't turn their guns quick enough to shoot you - even did that in my Warspite one time.

 

But yes - HE needs a Rework IMO.

 

HE shells need to be split into HE and Incendiary:

 

HE shells do the same damage that HE currently does and can damage modules - No chance of Fire.

Incendiary shells do sweet FA Damage - but the current chance of Fire as current HE shells.

 

Problem solved.

That Cleveland have good aim, he knows which part of your ship that wasn't on fire..
If i'm the Cleveland player i would do the same..

in range 7-8 km any good cleveland player can easily set several fire on BB... 
the reason is their almost flat trajectory and very tight grouping at those range, make them easily aim to which part of the BB he want to shoot.

as long as he shoot at the part that has not been burning, those 12 shell each salvo, will easily set any BB in fire.

umm well he was hitting me in the same area and as I said my repair was activated and each time he hit me and set me on fire the fire was put out straight away .

5 hits 5 fires in a row is wrong and BS .

sounds like a case of bad luck on your side and good luck on the enemy's just happened to coincide.

 

Try improving the quality and/or quantity of your sacrifices to RNGesus.

bad luck??? it wasn't bad luck, it was RNG and the game with its hidden stats and other crap that wanted it to happen that way.

that why it is a poorly made game

Why is it that lower tier ships can set higher tier ship on fire so damn easy?

every time im in a lower tier cruiser or in a higher tier ship that lower tier ship can set the higher tier ship on fire like he pissing fire on to it?

dude it has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE in 2800+ battles at all tiers, it has never happened before can you understand that??

experience tells me that it just doesn't happen on a regular basis for it to be a natural part of the game ok. (it never happened to me before)

There are a hell of a lot of hidden stats in the game that NO ONE BUT THE MAKERS OF THE WILL  EVER KNOW ABOUT. that changes different aspects of the game during the battle ok and the information that u can see like the 15% chance of fire etc doesn't relate to the fact that 5 hits 5 fires is totally full of crap and only reason it happen was the fact, he was tier 6 cruiser I was a tier 8 BB on low HP and the game wanted him to get the flags that you get for killing a ship after your ship is dead.

just like the amount of ships losing engines and guns and rudders, at the moment really is a joke and wouldn't surprise me WG are doing some sort of testing on that part of the game, because from CBT ive never seen the amount of engines and rudders and guns etc all being knocked out so offend on so many ships at the same time.

No you are wrong, it does have an affect on the game and RNG when lower tier ships can do more damage etc to a higher tier ship.

ive played a battle in a tier 8 and I fired at a iowa and got 4 citadels on him in one salvo  but the higher tier ship cant do that to the lower tier ship.

so yeah I laughed and said that's BS as well.

hello.. i was having some little experiment with my cleveland

and it seems that main turret number 2 and 3 are the ones that shoots incendiary shells

and the turret number 1 and 4 fires HE only

not quite sure if you do this too but it happens to me everytime i shoot those

if turret number 2 and 3 doesnt set you on fire well its 1 and 4

Ummm no I don't have to deal with crap in a game that I'm paying to play.

if you don't like what I post then don't comment on it.

its only possible because WG has programed it into the game it self.

and if anyone thinks that the game doesn't have hidden stats then I feel sorry for you.

Clevelands are one of the best protected cruisers in the USN tech tree, they are rather hard to citadel so don't expect to get them in a slow firing BB

The North Carolina has a funny gunfire arc that you should just get used to, missing at 11km means you were either having a bad day or just RNG

 

Also topic title is what we forum dwellers all think whenever someone post rants periodically...

You know rather than ranting and raving perhaps you could be more mature and ask the community for help and advice.

 

The game is not broken, and never has been. Theres been a few curiosities since cbt but never anything howlingly wrong with the mechanics. Real issues are always dealt with rather quickly.

 

As always, the root cause of rant threads like this is l2p. Try to be more constructive in future.

 

Tip: dont let a Cleveland get that close to u in a north Carolina. Stay in the battle line and if engaging cruisers make sure you have support.

I have done that in the past and got shot down and trolled etc ,especially by the supertesters who  are only out for the best interest of the game anyways.

well when u come round an island and heading towards a cap and u see a tier 6 cruiser and u in a tier 8 BB, u don't expect him to out gun you and don't expect him to set u on fire 5 times in a row with 5 shots at a all steel ship.

yes I expected him to set me on fire at some point and also didn't expect it to take 3 full broadsides in a tier 8 BB at under 11km to kill a tier 6 on 75% HP either but shows how much the game really is BS

well at this stage there was only 3 enemy ships left and 4-5 of my team left. they had warspite the Cleveland and a mogami all at south cap on 2 brothers map and again I couldn't do stuff all damage to the warspite or the Cleveland even tho I'm in a tier 8 BB and they both tier 6 ships but hey that the crap this game deals out  regularly .

dont underestimate the power of cleveland and it sure does turn your ship into a roasted giant metallic fish

love the ship tho

and let the transformers eat your roasted ship too

 

as you see.. the cleveland is the best battleship escort ship

and i even see the cleveland as a battlecruiser(if the US navy upgraded the turrets with new orlean's turrets and improve torp belt)

so you really need a cleve on your side
