Just love that moment when, you come to the aid of a BB or CV being hunted by a pesky DD, sink the DD and actually get a thank you for your efforts.

Just love that moment when, I outflank and sink one of those cowards that thinks it's good sportsmanship to hide behind an island only to pop out to fire a salvo then reverse back behind the island again. Some may call this a legitimate tactic but nothing riles me more and if it means sacrificing my ship in the process then so be it.

Any further just loved moments are welcome.

I dunno if it does any good but I make use of the compliment/report system regularly. I'm happy that I issue far more compliments than complaints.

The peek-a-boo island tactic is a direct result of CV's getting the hard nerf (which was a direct result of the CV seal clubbing feeding frenzy after game launch) recently. Anyone doing that with a decent CV driver in a game will be back to port in short order. Unfortunately I'm seeing this tactic more and more in the game.

My stats show that I'm not a CV player. However, I do hope that WG finds a balanced way to get more people (other than me ) to start playing them. This is the only way to mitigate the problems of peek-a-boo tactics, and perma-invisa gun / torp DD's. Only the most skilled DD captains should be able to take advantage of invisa-fire - not every player simply because there's no CV about.

I just love that moment when I see a BB sink after being ninja torped from full health to death... Even more satisfying when I had the opportunity to sink the escorting CL/CA along with it...

But what's even more satisfying is torping the crap out of another DD... I swear getting a torpedo hit on an enemy DD is like playing a game of "Catch the Greased up Deaf guy" and It's practically adrenaline pumping since you're both spotted anyways...

if your playing a russian dd your spotted a minimum of 2kms before you get to see the invisible enemy dd. and after that, many of them can now match your guns, because of your 4 turrets, you will lose at least 1. sometimes 3 or all 4.

Turret destruction does seem to be pretty bad on Russian DDs. I have a Kiev and I find it annoying when I hunt an enemy DD only to have tables turned when their first salvo takes out a turret or two.

I love the moment when you are ducking and dodging enemy fire and firing off a few shots just to keep them honest and you score a kill without really trying

... my team move in motion, going forward. Capturing or flanking the enemies. No one stay behind, all were brave and smart.

I love it when an enemy DD/BB/CV succumbes to Carefully placed salvoes from my own DD..... its just so satisfying to slowly melt him into the sea.

Another instance i love is that my Super duper Randomly Launched torpedoes land Multiple kills that help our team...... Ooohhhh..... so orgasmic

That moment when you are 1 v 1 Colorado v Colorado and the enemy Fubuki joins in from behind you.

You close the enemy Colorado trying to ram him, you miss Fubuki hits him instead of you, your secondaries finish off the Colorado and Fubuki :)

Why should you be pissed off by this??

The game is an FPS and the player is nothing more than the ship itself. If islands are provided behind which cover can be found then so be it. It's clearly obvious why the developers put them there.

So rather than gripe about it, take advantage of them yourself.

Or only play on the "Ocean" maps.

One game last night an enemy BB was 'hiding' behind an island.  Except that he left just a bit of his tail sticking out (but not enough to fire his guns).

33 hits from my cruiser later, he decided he better move.

I love the moment where I just carry the game to the end in my BB and love when playing my DD hitting ignorant BB's and CA's also killing other DD's with my USN DD.

I love the moment where I just obliterate a stupid DD which is very stupid enough to come close when I'm in my BB and being the guy who sink the enemy BB or DD using my CA HE barrage.

Also killing the guy who's hiding behind an island and trying to be a smart a....

Just love that moment when, while playing the Orlan, which I do for the first match everyday to test my connection, I get a 1 v 1 battle and the enemy is afk. I cap all 3 zones, load AP rounds and score 3 citadel hits for an easy win.

:teethhappy:

Just love that moment when, in the 2 brothers map with your team in front only just with 20 seconds to go and despite repeated calls to remain alive an Aoba continues to chase a Cleveland with tunnel vision right into the sights of the 2 remaining enemy BB's.

...when youve drawn a team severley lacking in tactical awareness, play strategies, etc, and carry them to victory with more than triple the xp of the next guy.

Oh, and one-shotting a cruiser at range in a bb!
