Improving my play style

I have recently reached 5k battles and am interested in improving my playstyle. I found a few problem areas that I am not happy with.

I have uploaded a bunch of my replays for evaluation roughly 270.

In general I am finding that my average damage on a daily basis is not increasing but holding steady. Also it seems that I am often the first one sunk or it occurs a disproportionate proportion of the time. My survival for most ships is at least 10 percent below the average  even now I only survive about 1 in 4 battles. I have also my accuracy seems to have dropped off and where I used to aim is no longer hitting targets and I have to get closer to hit them.

It seems that the relative speed of the ships has been boosted relative to all shells and it seems to be with the latest parch and across most if not all ships. I think it  could just be me as i haven't played much round christmas and the new year.

With CVs and the reworked strafe i am getting the gist of it but I am finding it still seems to be a death trap when I try to execute it and i can only get it to work occasionally. and battleships at least at T5 to 8seem to be able to dodge torps effortlessly even when they are dropped just at the point where they arm themselves

In DDs I usually do negligible damage  and rarely survive. I also have terrible accuracy with torpedoes

In CAs and BBs I seem to do do all right though I think my accuracy suffers at medium to long range and  find it difficult to hit anything much beyond 12  to 13 km.

so how do I tweak how I play to increase my effectiveness?

Firstly the link for your replays seems to broken, so i can't really comment on your playstyle.

But it sounds like you might be playing too aggressively, be patient and try to determine the enemy's positions before committing to a fight, it might save you from an inescapable situation.

As for your accuracy/aim, Maybe keep to a single ship for a few games to become better accustomed to it.

If i play a single ship a few games in a row i become more confident/better with my aim. If i jump from ship to ship it can throw off my aim, some ships just have drastically different shell arc's and velocity

Consistently shooting the same guns will help to practice and improve aim.

Best advice i can really give is to watch some tutorials/guides such as iChasegaming,

https://www.youtube.com/user/ichasegaming

There are lots of good guides on YouTube, and they're a lot better then any advise i can give.

So if you have the time, by all means have a search for them as they drastically improved my play style.

Thankyou for your input

I must of used the wrong link for the google drive but I have now. this one should work.

As far as aggressiveness  I have been thinking I need to ease off a bit for a while. I just find that it tends to be that I end up being the only ship actually doing any fighting as everyone else in my group or flank has decided to turn tail and run even when we have superior forces.

I see the changes in shell velocity all the time the 2 most notorious for that are the Cleveland and Farragut. Each ship is slightly different with the shell flight times and arc. I tend to jump from ship to ship but only after I have been sunk, don't like waiting for the ship I just was sunk in to be available again.

I have found quite a few different youtubers that are excellent guides
like; flamu,  Voulezvous TV,  iChasegaming etc.

I will have to do a more dedicated search for tactics and aiming see if there is anything I have missed.
