Is there a mod available that enables this disgusting red, white and green pattern to be removed?

b...but if it's historically accurate Camo for cheatland, will you use it?

Uh, go to the camo screen and change it?

Let's try again......

Someone created a replacement for the other camos which reinstates the original grey appearance yet still allows the extra points to remain.

So.....if I buy this camo - and the extra attributes that come with it - is there a replacement skin which I can then use that will still enable the attributes?

u want tu put on camo. but u dont like how camo look?

u still want to put on camo, u want the bonus stat, but u also want the ship just stay gray(still use modded skin)?

i have the way

copy camouflages.xml from "res" folder to "res_mods/magicnumbers/" folder

open the 1 in res mods folder.

delete every line in that xml

save.

theres a downside tough. EVERY CAMO will not be painted to the EVERY SHIP

but dont worry. the effect is still there

Okay...I'll give that a try.

Thanks for understanding what I wanted to do. :)

UPDATE.

No....that didn't work, I'm sorry.

The camos all still appear on the ships.

Ah-haaa! But that isn't what you instructed; you said "copy camouflages.xml from "res" folder to "res_mods/magicnumbers/" folder".

So what did I do?

Created a folder called magicnumbers!!  :D

Now I know what you mean I'll try it again.

So after playing around a bit I think I found a way to change the camo either the colours in the perm scheme or change it back to one of the original sets just the colours not the effect

Yep....I've done it correctly and all is good! :D

Thank you very much for the advice.

We will have the devs  change the patch number folder to "magic numbers" to reduce confusion when modding ;)

What an excellent idea; it's not hard to see how you came to have all those badges in your signature. :)

I know that this game is not realistic....I know that and that's fine. Honestly.

But if they want to add camouflage to these things then they could at least provide something that doesn't look as if it has been conjured up whilst the developer was on a bad LSD trip.

These weird psychedelic colours and patterns give me the poops; if I wanted to play the anime version then I'd do so.

So I'm pleased to once more see my ships in their normal grey. They look like real warships once again. :)

(Incidentally....but don't tell the devs....if they want a genuine razzle-dazzle camo scheme then they could actually use the historically-correct "dazzle" applied to some ships in WW1).
