"oh! after 3 minute, DD of both team finally met each other! IJNDD launch their torp to push enemy away while USNDD just show their mastery of gun!"

 

"both team cruiser start to join the battle, and aim to dispatch enemy DD as soon as possible, basic strategy I must say."

 

BOOM!!

 

"Oh!! what's that!!? oh - my - god!!, one of team A cruiser just got magazine detonation!!, In just 5 minute in the game and one of team A already retire... what a rotten LUCK!"

 

"and on the other side! finally! big fat BB of both team start join the battle! now we can see some damage!"

 

"looks like both team think the same thing, dispatch enemy cruiser to protect their team DD a major base capper! look at all those shell rain down upon little DD, poor thing"

 

"Uh oh! to dodge incoming torpedoes, one of team B cruiser has to turn and present full broadside to enemy BB... that not good!"

 

"team A BB won't let that chance go! fire full salvo to cruiser broadside and........ OH! my..., the aim was perfect! but dispersion just throw shell off left and right only 2 hit with minimal damage... better LUCK next time!"

 

"team B cruiser who just Luckily escape certain death salvo, fire back with load of HE and direct hit on team A BB set a beautiful fire at him, and.... amazing! he set stack 2 fire in just 3 salvo!... that gonna do some damage to BB, looks like goddess of LUCK are on his side today!"

 

"look's like team A BB hesitate a bit to use damage control party, fire eat up half of his HP... but wait! torpedoes bomber are heading his way! it's seem they try to finish him off! better save that damcon party for later pal!"

 

"in the mean time, team B BB are aim at the moment! when team A BB turn to intercept TB! it's his opportunity!"

 

"and without second though! his fire a full salvo!....... wow... look at that shell! they groping together beautifully like a family of shell and.... smash!! right in the middle of pitiful BB ... holy shi---!! 3 citadel hit! and another penetrating damage! with this LUCK you should buy some lottery man!"

 

"there's no chance for that poor BB, with just few hundred HP left, normal DB can kill him easily.... and there you go... another retire."

 

the fierce battle of luck keep go on for 20 min...

Well the "Detonation" can prevent by using flags and in the E-Sport they going to basically put as much as they allowed to anyways so that point is not valid

 

But the other point are as same as iChase state in his video i guess (this one: https://youtu.be/4Bnkhj8PuSw?t=18m20s) 

 

Too many random factor and inconsistency, will be fun for daily basis but in competitive environment.. not so much :trollface:

Lol, yeah.... the formula Wargaming used for Randomness....aka RNG will never be able to replicate real life Randomness of naval warfare....  

Overheating main guns reduce accuracy, waves and ship movement reduce accuracy.... etc etc.....

actually, i speculate that RNG coding, was not only made also to Help automate many of the functions that otherwise would need an extra player and make the game playable with just one.

 

it would be cool, instead of having 1 ship per player in an wows, how about.... having Multiple players each with a different function inside a ship.  That will remove lots of the RNG factors involved and will really mean Teamwork is a must.

One player to Drive the boat

One play for main gun gunnery ( maybe multiple)

One player for Aa or secondary gunnery

One player for CnC and Aircraft control

This kind of RNG is still OK.

Lets imagine WoWs without RNG and dispersion.

Fuso salvo....12 citadel hits.

 

At the other games, to get your wanted unit or card also need to pray to RNG and you still need to pay it with real money.

 

The "realistic" game you wanted, you need to wait, that someone would make it at near future. Perhaps.

It probably yourself.

there's must be a middle way between RNG and none RNG...

 

look at FPS game for example.

 

assault rifle, fire form hip, bullet will spray all over, even if you fire a single shot, bullet still go random within cross-hair  --  that's an RNG factor

but when aim down to iron sight, and fire a single shot, it become dead center without any RNG factor at all!

 

do that for Wows, when lock&zoom into target, small gauge appear and slowly fill, that sign of gunnery crew are calibrating the gun for you,

you can fire even gauge not full, but there's dispersion penalty.

if you wait until gauge full and fire, that salvo will become dead center.

I think its kinda interesting but i think there was someone propose it before and many peoples did not like the idea.

 

Maybe because its like a WoT mechanics or something i don't really know :amazed:

thats why Gamers dont spray and do ADS all the time....

and some FPS games do have a pattern for recoil..
