  1. 1. Why you play the game?

    • Because you got navy blood in the family.
    • Because its a game. (Duhh...)
    • Because you sir is a navy veteran. (Salute to you!)
    • Because of FOLLOW ME!!, UFUFUFU YA SCARED?, KUMA!, SPOTLIGHT SHIP, PAN PAKA PAN!, "THE HOTEL", MAMA HOUSHOU and etc. (Too many. orz)
    • Others.
    • The history/engineering.

I actually curious about it since this my first time to play MMO games. So yeah curiosity killed the cat. lol :D

I play it because my father was an ex-navy with a rank of Laskar Kelas ll (Seaman) OR-3. He is retired now though I would love to see him continuing his NAVY jobs.

Interesting question!

I come from an FPS background (played BF3/BF4 competitively with a Clan) however BF4 grew stale - each time they released a patch, they would introduce game breaking mechanics and then we would have to put up with broken parts of the game for a month till they patched it again, then there were the balancing decisions which were fundamentally broken because DICE listened to people who picked up the game, played for a couple of hours and put it down, then complained about something being OP, when in actual fact - they were just noobs who didn't know how to use it.

Anyways - I took up Planetside 2 - had some fun with it, but the Grind is alot, and sadly, my FPS skills have been in decline (in BF4 - I was a specialist, focusing on anything that flies - I think I am still top 10 in NZ for attack jets despite not playing in Months) but due to the PS2 controls - I can't fly in that game (they don't allow you to bind Yaw to a Mouse - to me this is retarded, let me bind my controls how I goddamn want!)

So being in a bit of a Gaming rut - My brother suggested I play WoWS - initially not keen - had Clan mates who raved about WoT, but wasn't my thing - so decided to dip my toe in and....

I'm absolutely addicted - sure the RNGesus factor can be frustrating, but there is a tactical element to the Gameplay that I am enjoying - the Aiming is less twitch based, good positioning and tactical awareness is key.

And finally Big Battleships firing Big Guns.

Oh and yes the History side of things is cool too - finding out about great ships and the brave people that sailed on them - fantastic.

I love warfare and tactics and history.  Also, my father and  I were very close.  He was born, Dec7, 1941, in Honolulu Hawai, right as the bombs were dropping in pearl harbor. I loved listening to stories about life during that era.

World of warships although a game, has a historical aspect in it that i enjoy immensely.

Found that this game is fun to play and is not hard-core as WoT (in my opinion), but the fact that in every patch i got some error or crash repeatedly kinda break my heart (time to go back to WoT?) :D:D:D

I don't know why... but I just have this affinity with ships... Ever since I saw my first ship when I was 7 (i think) I just fell in love with it right away... I'm not a good swimmer (awful in fact) but I love being in the sea even the dank smell of it I can't get enough... Even at stormy or rough seas I can't seem to feel out of balance even though I don't ride ships that often...

Because in the past I often ride along warships but never get the chance to captain one :D

Now it's my revenge you *bleep*!

Because I want to make my historical knowledge about Sea Warfare in Pacific front much clearer from the western bias. I kind of can't trust any number of casualities that have been published in my historical books. And of course I wanted to know what's warships that have been used in the pacific fronts since it's quite unpopular.

I like engineering marvels; it's in my passion. I played World of Tanks, and it seemed natural that I come here after that.

I don't know much about WW2 naval before, but after I've played this game and "that game", I start to look into IJN history and ship's configuration
