Impressively done by 2 squadron of torpedo bombers at the first minute of the game in my BB.

Then I was complaining about how OP it is then he sent 1 more bomber squadron to set fire on my last 2000 HP left then I'm finished from the game.

GG, love it.

first minutes is imposible i think.

but if u said at first 2 or 3 minutes. i will believe it without batting an eye.

you probably wander to far to get near to enemy location. so that midway/essex planes doesnt need to travel to far to reach u :)

First minute? Not possible.

Couple first minutes then. It's time of the game that no ship was spotted. Those plane came from the mountain and drop salvo torps to my side, made the end to my ship.

lol. i almost wonder about that in every match.

do u know how long a stock kagero need to shoot down 4 midway planes?

yes. my kagero once tailed by a midway planes that long and not even 1 FT sent to help me :/ and i was finally got done by 3 DB drop and finally 2 TB drop from midway finished  me. and ofcourse the outcome of the match is = defeated

talk about bad game (it was midway essex vs essex midway)

somehow Tier X games can be even more terrible because of those gameshows  < Thailand/Taiwan

people there can play Midway / Yamato / Shimakaze and join into our normal matches and ruin our games :<

I find it interesting that it's always the player's fault for getting murdered by a CV.

Being at the front with a high tier BB that has the turn rate of your average death star,

casually sailing in places that blocks line of sight and potential evasive maneuvers,

having the situational awareness of your average brick wall...

I'm not saying the OP is all that, but he's another fine example of a player making it so very easy for a CV to butcher him...

Meanwhile other players continue to make it as hard as possible for CVs to attack them.

Don't listen to the words of the sycophants.

I took my tirpitz out for a rare run a few days ago and met over 60 torps from 2 cv's and sets of 8-10 torps coming in from 2xdd's and a cruiser, within 5 mins the game was over for me.

Welcome to world of torpedoes.

When you have games like that, it's time to leave.

I was in the rear, and hard turning. The map was two brothers, and I only had 2 dd's up front for aa screen. How is it my fault that of the 15 on team, 12 have gone in one of two possible directions?. As you say yourself, big turn rate of your average deathstar, so changing direction isn't the easy option.

I also have +20% to AA range AND +10% to AA efficiency, yet it does nothing vs 4 squadrons of torpedo planes. (the planes were from a tier 9 and 10 cv).

I mean a bb REALLY SHOULD move up so they are at least able to fire at the enemy ships, yes?. Or do we wait until half of the team is dead before engaging?.

So with all those stories, how do you average one torpedo per game in a carrier?

We organized some top players to do our 12V12 practice and the results show that 122 Midway is completely useless when facing experienced 422 Hakuryu. Midway just dont have a chance in high level group confrontation.

We all agree midway can be aggresive in random battle since few player can master 422 hakuryu in Asia server and teammates always failed to provide AA cover.

If u worry about Midway and shimakaze.  Improve ur skill and find some experienced division teammates.

I'm using my experience from Shokaku and Hiryuu and giving in the most ideal CV situation

0.5 min to ready all planes

0.6 min to get the entire force up

1 - 2 minutes to fly to destination

1 - 2 minutes to approach target and bomb.

All in all, one can expect a CV strike at the earliest in about 3 minutes into the game. That is if the game quickly loads after countdown.

Other than that, expect a CV strike in at most 5 minutes if the enemy CV's game does not load within 1 - 2 minutes of game start.

In less than ideal start for CV, i.e. strike package gets held up by AA and CAP, expect a CV strike on you in about 6 minutes into the game. Anything beyond that is as good as a failed 1st CV strike

idk why this suddenly shows up, but i agree with it and specially even truer on NA/EU server (look at all those ridiculous midway stat vs average plane shot down). 422 hakuryu requires some serious micro management skill a random CV captain who never player nor excelled in any RTS game can have.

I am glad I have never bothered to play BB's. They really sound like they are awful to play with CV's wrecking them for fun and with such awful dispersion they can never hit anything. It's a wonder anyone plays them at all.

BB are nice ships after Tier 6 (Except the Colarado as it's still not very good, and the Kongo because it is really good).

That is what Retia is saying if you don't want to be a focused by a CV then don't present yourself to be a target of opportunity for him/her. if you were the CV player and you had to choose to send your strike group towards either a lone BB with a couple destroyer escorts or running the gauntlet against the rest of the enemy fleet, no doubt you would choose the lone BB since its an easier target. Now, how did 2x DDs and a CA get past your two DD escorts is another story but don't blame the CV player for picking out targets of opportunity.

My advice is to just wait at the start of the game, you can generally judge where the bulk of your team is heading. It would be better to let a weakly defended flank fall then throw your ship away in a futile attempt to hold it.

Lastly, I highly suggest not taking the AA modules unless your ships already has decent AA. Its not like 10% increase in crappy AA defense is gonna magically shoot down every incoming plane especially not the tier IXs and Xs.
