A new Yuro vid, how to Atago. In the grand tradition of his old Clemson and Sharnhorst vids, there's an instruction manual for Atago wrapped up in the memes. (short version:) "Run RPF with double rudder." [My build swaps AR for PT and EM, but I otherwise followed his advice] RPF may seem counterintuitive on a cruiser, but on Atago it works. I find the knowledge gained by RPF is more worthwhile as a cruiser than as a DD to be honest. In your role as a flank protector, which is Atago's bread-and-butter most games, it gives you so much power.

Howdy everyone, A little bit about myself first. I'm an Australian content creator who loves strategy games. Growing up, I've spent countless hours on stuff like Age of Empires II, EU4, CIV5 and various Total War games, figuring out how to think strategically and overcome obstacles is one of my passions, which means it should come as no surprise that my favorite books are works of classical strategic theory. Sun Tzu's The Art of War, Machiavelli's Prince, and Clauswitz's Vom Kriege are some of my favourite ones (even though I haven't quite finished all of them yet). World of Warships has been my recent obsession, with 12K battles accumulated since 2016 over two servers (SEA and NA). I approach this game in the same manner as I would one of my other strategy game. Finding the slower pace of battle to be refreshing, where every decision has consequences whose effect may be felt much later down the line. I'd love to show that passion through the content I create, and I'm making this thread to catalogue and share some of that with the community here who might find it interesting. G'day Folks, Ok I know I haven't pumped a video out in over a week, there's a reason... I'm trying to tie up the full Commonwealth Tech Tree proposal scripts for a short series of In-Depth videos. If you own a Zao, this is a must watch. I have the whole Legendary Module / 19pt captain thing going with this ship, and my build is pretty much what he has. I have been struggling lately to get much done, for the reasons he points out in the video: Too many planes defeats your concealment, too many 18" guns defeats your armor. What I came to understand from watching the video was that I do not shoot often enough. flamu is pretty much unloading continuously the entire game. I spend too much of the game afraid to shoot, or I shoot and my game is over. Looking at it further, I'm simply too close. flamu positioning in this game is really textbook perfect. No sarcasm, you can learn a lot from studying it.

As of this post the IHFE Mogami vid hasn't been uploaded, but expect it shortly. Anyhoo as an IJN cruiser main I found the videos helpful. I realized I was being over-reliant on HE and that the AP can be strong against certain angled ships, battleship superstructure etc. Flamu's style has evolved a bit since he last featured these ships. He's now much more "hang back and shoot from stealth" ranged attacks, where before it was a rougher, riskier, get in close and blast them approach. The recommended captain perks are adreneline rush, last stand, expert loader and preventative maintenance... I guess you'd say I was disappointed to learn that Flamu's Myoko games don't look qualitatively much different than my Myoko games. He gets more damage than I do because he reads the enemy better, but in terms of positioning and strategy what he did on the Two Brothers map there is pretty much what I would have done. I say disappointed because I dunno, it was a pretty boring game to watch I was expecting once you reached unicum level you'd be able to pull off more heroics in the ship. Instead it was all pretty routine and businesslike, kite off and fire HE while your teammates spot for you procedure.

So... this all started with me making a tutorial for some of the less experienced clan mates to improve their CA/CL game play and I've quickly discovered I quite enjoy doing it. Only thing is I'm becoming a little starved of content. Rather than go to Reddit and be inundated with replays from the other servers, I'd like you SEA players to PM me a link using the WoWS Replays site of an outstanding match you've had so I can put a commentary together and perhaps immortalize it a little. More than anything I'm after amusing content, but high damage/multi kill Unicum level play is also welcome. I only ask that any replay you send me has an accompanying screenshot of the post battle result and is the current version of the game. I'm no Jingles or Flamu so don't have high expectations, it's really just a time sink for me at the moment.
