Is it possible to add Bot CVs to training rooms? Dropdown for each nation only have every other ship type except the CV? If not, why would they not allow this?

This official support for training room 'upgrade' seems more like a downgrade to me. All that was actually upgraded was the UI and permissions (and option to disable cyclone), which are very nice and all, but in return lots of the key features that are necessary are removed for some reason. I am now limited to 3 CVs per team; there are no longer any bots and only stationary targets; special battle types for some maps (e.g. ranked-style capture points) are completely unavailable. On the other hand the features I (and I think lots of players) wanted were not added, e.g. the ability to add a bot with specific modules, upgrades, captain skills, and consumables; the ability to pick spawn point for individual ships; etc. Overall the official training room support at this moment is to say the least, very disappointing. To put the features I think are necessary into a list: Ability to add fully customizable bots into a battle, including its specific modules, upgrades, captain skills, and consumables. To be able to set bots' active and armed states like in the past. Include option to choose ranked battle type for related maps. Add the functionality to pick spawn points for each ship. Remove the 3 CV cap. I am aware that there is an argument to be made for conserving server resources. But to sacrifice so much functionality for this reason is no different than to limit car use to within walking distance in order to conserve fuel: you might as well not have it.

How to enable the hidden "Training Room" function without any downloaded mods There is actually an easy way to activate the hidden "Training Room" function. No downloads or rocket science needed. Difficulty : 1/10 Time needed : Quicker than James May in a Dacia Sandero Tools needed : Keyboard, Notepad, and Electricity. Step 1 : Find res folder in your World of Warships folder. ([Your Drive]:\Program Files\World_of_Warships\res) Step 2 : Find scripts_config.xml in the res folder. Step 3 : Make a backup of the original file and paste it somewhere safe, then start editing the script file in the located in the res folder. Here is the hardest part of the entire process, you'll need to open the scripts_config.xml with notepad. And when you opened it up it should look like this. The only thing we'll need to change is the last line, " <disableTrainingRoom>true</disableTrainingRoom>". Just change the "true" to "false" then save and you'll be able to see "Training Room" in your battle selection menu. Step 4 : Enjoy your Training Room Shenanigans Edit : IIRC any client update will undo this "mod" , you will need to repeat the process after each client update.

So previously I used to change the preference.xml to access the training, until today I decided to play it again and realised it doesn't work anymore, the default game type won't change to red Co-op Battle button. Can someone confirm this? Many thanks! *Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section :/
