    Research Trip

I'm currently writing a book on the battleship, Yamato. Unfortunately, resources and information in Australia are very limited, and is stalling my progress. I have set up a Go Fund Me page to seek assistance in getting to Japan to conduct further research on the ship. I have World of Warships to thank to sparking a deep-seeded interest in this ship and her history, and I could really use everyone's assistance in getting my book completed. If you would like to assist, please follow the link below, or at least share it to drum up support. Thank you all in advanced. [content removed] Advertising/solicitation. Best Battleship Line

The other day I asked about the best Cruiser line in the game and it got me thinking about the best battleship line. I've heard that the Montana is the worst of the 3 tier 10s.
  4. Japanese videogame magazine Famitsu has published on their website an interview with Ivan Moroz, who is the global director of the WoWS development team at Wargaming Saint Petersburg. As of the OBT, approximately 85% of core game development is complete On the Asia server, the pre-order packages were mostly purchased by Japanese players During early alpha testing, developers noticed that players got bored after 20 or 30 battles, which made them shorten the duration of each battle to 20 minutes (they were longer before). After the premium ships for USSR, Germany and UK roll out, the tech trees will be released. The developers plan on splitting cruiser classes into CL and CA, in addition to separate branches for battleships equipped with torpedoes. Submarines aren't completely ruled out of the game, though they are still in preliminary brainstorming stages. After formal release (i.e. upon completion of OBT). there are plans to introduce weather effects and night battles. Such effects include wind, waves, storm and fog. The developers are considering releases on other platforms, such as Xbox and mobile devices. They are hoping to be able to introduce promotional skins, ships and characters for the Arpeggio collaboration. Premium time and gold/doubloons will be shared across the player's unified account. They are considering the possibility of tournaments and e-sports. Destroyed ships are due to feature effects such as pieces falling off.

    alternate history

Here is a topic i wanted to float to see what peoples thoughts are. 1) germany wins the battle of britain and goes ahead with operation sealion, before turning towards the east. thus keeping it a 1 front war. 2) when germany does attack russia japan also attacks russia. as hitler had hoped 3) japan never attacks pearl harbor. thus not giving rosevelt the excuse to enter the war. what would the outcome of these actions possibly be? would the usa have entered ww2? there was a tv show men in high castles that was a fictional history if the allies had lost the war. just wanted your ideas feel free to blast me over the total off topic posting.
  7. Recently, Wargaming removed the Rising Sun from IJN Vessels within World of Warships because of complaints that claim they were a symbol of Japanese atrocity during the Second World War. Many Japanese people responded to this issue by starting a petition to bring back the flag to the game, arguing that there is no reason to delete a flag that is not illegal for use, but rather is still used by the JMSDF. Any thoughts? I personally think WG should bring back the flag for that very reason: The Rising Sun was used by the Navy way before WWII, and the flag is still in use currently by the JMSDF and therefore should not and cannot be associated with the Nazi Swastika, which is banned in most European countries including Germany. The matter has been discussed and the decision is that the flag will not appear in-game Please do not bring politics into the forums. Thread closed. ~Centurion_NZ
