This is probably a stupid question, but what key do you use to get out of 'Locked on sector'? Had this come up only 2 or 3 times and I have no idea what key I must have accidentally hit to get locked onto a sector. Recent game a number of enemy ships were near or rapidly approaching and I was also being harassed by torpedo bombers and suddenly I got 'Locked on sector' and while I was frantically trying different keys to unlock my guns I got pounded and sunk. The only thing I could find under the controls menu was locking onto a ship with the X key, but that is ships not sectors and I have still been able to move my guns away from a ship that I have locked onto (though it's easier to do if you unlock from that ship first). Got me baffled. I think on one occasion I stumbled on the key but it happens so rarely I can't remember what key it was.
Hi Guy's and Gal's I have tried 3 ways of activating the in game "replay function". 1st from "Jingles" YouTube video. 2nd from instructions found on this forum. And finally I downloaded the "WoWS_Replay_Tool". The problem is, I cannot control camera movement or any other function with the Keyboard and also, the replay ends with a crash with lots of Error notices and no results screen. Can you tell me which is the correct method too use. And do you think I may have corrupted the game in some way and would a complete Reinstall be a good idea. The game itself works perfectly with no problems at all. Thanks for any help. Alex B_T23
I'm mostly confident that this is not intentional (and therefore, more strictly a bug report rather than a suggestion) but correct me if I'm wrong (and please quote a source). Currently, if you are launching torpedoes from any ship that has more than one launcher, you will need to wait for all the torpedoes of the first launcher to leave before you can aim or launch the second launcher. The delay's duration depends on how many torpedoes your ship has on a single launcher, so this is especially annoying for high tier destroyers that often have quadruple or quintuple launchers, for which the delay can be up to 3 seconds. From a logical standpoint there is no reason why the two launchers should not be able to be independently targeted and launched. From a balance standpoint, with the addition of so much radar and hydro, alongside the ridiculous effectiveness of high caliber AP shells against DDs, I really don't see why DDs need this one extra handicap. So yeah, I would love to see a rework on the torpedo launch mechanics, specifically being able to aim and launch the second launcher while the first launcher is unloading. I think this is a reasonable thing to do after the recent rework on CV UI that made it much more responsive and enjoyable to use. Maybe give DD captains a little bit of sweetness as well?
