  1. Well, since the new loot crates are in the field displayed by that simple freighter beside your ship like this: I gotta ask: what did you find in the bawkses when you opened em? Happiness? Or disappointment seasoned with salt? Looking forward to see people rejoicing at fortunes gained in that deck... be it tears that they drew a prem ship or a pot of gold or simply lulz that ensued as RNG gave you a hard middle finger. In the Game of Bawkses, you either score big or generate more salt. There's a bit of a middle ground. Oh right gais, it would help if you include this bit as well. This was the old survey Lordofcaptain did before the whole bloody thing was merged to my thread (apparently, the Altar of Salt requires a singular sacrifice) so please do fill it up. Change name edit to : Cargo ship containers: unpacking. I for one welcome the freighter ship's deck being the singular Altar of Salt. Edited topic title after merging all the super container threads ~dead_man_walking
  2. Tier II-IV Container obtained from Pacific Tokens Tier V Container obtained from Dockyard
  3. Got Agincourt when I purchased with my Beast Token a Jutland and German DD container. (Welp there goes my container luck)
  4. Mr_Good_Citizen

    100 containers opened.

These are the daily xp containers. These are mainly 'Signals and camo' and consumables, with a few 'try your luck' thrown in for RNGesus sake...I never pick the credit option. Looks like there may have been one or two 'special' containers from rewards or missions, idk. It finished the hockey collection, giving me the captain. Now I can start again...

    Ok, thats kind of cool

Ok, since the option came available, I have usually used "open all" for opening containers, which just shows a screen of all the items. This misses the animations of the containers opening. Which is fine most of the time. So I actually had not seen the animation for the opening of the WoWs anniversary containers, which has neat little pop-ups. I can't record stuff, so here's an image.
  6. Is it me or daily containers stop giving Azur lane collections stuff ? for yesterday and today i wasn't able to get any collection items form the daily container , yes i enable the collecting in the collections tab in profile
  7. Ever since Update 0.7.5 with the Freedom Containers, I've seen a bunch of people (for confidentiality purposes, and because it constitutes naming and shaming, I will not disclose their names) complaining about not getting what they desired from the containers. At first it came off as funny, but seeing the price of premium Great 8 Containers made my stomach lurch; with the USD pressing down on every other currency in the world, those prices are way beyond the budget of someone like me. I'm also not sure people here wish to spend that much on an un-guaranteed reward (I am speaking in context of the Ship Mission) . Therefore, I came up with an idea that would be able to reduce or alleviate complaints about the containers they bought from the shop not giving satisfactory results, without compromising the revenue stream from those that desire more than what the game gives them. I also tried buying one container myself, and seeing two Youtube videos of people opening up to 32 crates; I only saw two missions out of 32 opened. Say, under the current system, the standard Great 8 containers provide: 1 camouflage 1 special signal flag 1 collectible item for the Great 8 collection a chance to get a mission for the premium Lexington permanent camo, the bi-national Alexander Ovechkin commander, or ships North Carolina, Duca degli Abruzzi, Chapayev, Scharnhorst, Leningrad or Alabama while the premium containers provide: 10 camouflage 10 special signal flags 1 collectible item for the Great 8 Collection an INCREASED a chance to get a mission for the premium Lexington permanent camo, the bi-national Alexander Ovechkin commander, or ships North Carolina, Duca degli Abruzzi, Chapayev, Scharnhorst, Leningrad or Alabama. My suggestion is, instead of Standard and Premium Containers, have a single container that provides, for example: 5 camouflage 5 special signal flags 1 collectible item for the Great 8 collection a chance to get a mission for the premium Lexington permanent camo, the bi-national Alexander Ovechkin commander, or ships North Carolina, Duca degli Abruzzi, Chapayev, Scharnhorst, Leningrad or Alabama (not as much as the premium container, but still more than the normal one; so if for example (remember, these numbers are imagined) the standard container has a 10% chance to drop that mission while the premium has 50%, then this container should have something like 25% chance to drop the mission). If you want a comparison, my new system resembles the one WG put up for Cossack: to earn the tier 8 gunbote, one can either gather up the Guineas needed (weirdly enough, you need to buy 2 more to get the Cossack but the amount is small and negligible even for a limited-budget person like me. Or you can buy the guineas needed in the store/the ship itself (well the ship, a commander and a port slot, plus goodies for the more valuable packs) by paying money. Or a more apt comparison: the Varyag marathon back in March. You can buy the ship itself in the store for real money, or you can elect to invest time and do a (IIRC) 25-mission chain that refreshes every day. Point is, the value of this single container must lie in between the current standard and premium containers. My "business scheme" is that then WG can sell something like any number from 1-100 (hell, 1000 containers if people are that crazy) for those that prefer to trade money instead of time to get the containers. Those that want it free can do in-game missions like most of the 0.7.9 stage of the RN event where Directives yield containers, with some of the specific ones (i.e the ones requiring the T7 British destroyers or higher) yielding premium containers. Of course, my suggestion is not without flaws. the current model (well, it's kinda like a casino where you pay money and hope RNG pays you back more) is a very profitable way to carry business, and exploits the curiosity of customers (people love searching for patterns when in fact there are none- this is why random number generators like the Magic-8 Ball are popular), and I'm not sure a profit-oriented WG would want to adopt my model of selling (it does cut into profits a little, I'll admit that). But I hope they at least listen and give feedback, because I am not the only one who worries that people are getting fed up with paying for lootboxes only to get little in return. Contrast this with Forza 7's soon-to-be-removed crate system, where the most expensive crate guarantees you a rare driver gear or mods (cards that provide challenges for people to complete for extra cash) and so you rarely see people complaining about the crate system (even then, they are planning to remove the crate system for an in-game store soon, I can confirm this because I own the game). Whew, that was a finger full. I'll take a break from posting threads as much as I can, so henceforth commence the discussion. Lemme know if you think this idea works or not , or if you have anything else to say.
  8. Most of World of Warships Players are aware of above options that are given on obtaining daily containers. I think these options/ content needs a rethink. 1) More Credits - If you are lucky you can get maximum of 1,50,000 credits. Now i can earn that in premium ship. I missed out on the Missouri. But i earned Indi and Aigle, which earn decent credits even if you have bad game. So why would i go for Credit containers. Also the daily missions gives me credits occasionally. Duplicates get converted into credits (Go navy and WOW anniversary special arsenal currency if left unspent) So only new players will pick this option if they are short on credits for buying new ships. Having said that the cost of lower tier ships is pretty low. 2) More Signals and Camouflages - Most of the in-game missions and events give me signals and camouflages as rewards. For Example - Go Navy Event, WOW Anniversary Event or Current Royal Navy Event - gives everyone signals and camos from dedicated containers. On going Kitty event also is rewarding with signals. Also in game rewards like dreadnought, fire proof, etc gives corresponding signals. So why on earth would i choose this option from Daily Containers. 3) More Consumables - Again something that can be brought using credits (auto-resupply feature uses credits). These consumables are also available via daily missions. 4) More Resources - a no brainer - Coal is needed in Arsenal - to buy new ships, upgrades, even signals, or commanders. So almost all players go for this option to stockpile on coal. 5) Try Your Luck - few players will go for this option of trying luck of obtaining Super Containers. I only try this on my 3rd container of the day. So if coal is highly valued in current setting, the other 4 options are almost rarely selected. I think other players might be thinking down same line. So i think these daily rewards need re-think. Players must be made to think long and hard before going for an option, rather than just grind for coal. (Just like current Royal Navy Event - I have to think hard on what i want to buy using Sovereigns - whether i want to buy premium dd or premium bb or 10 point special skill commander)
  9. Hi Game locks up twice now on 7.9 when opening containers. First time getting 2000XP Second time after 5 stars win on operation dynamo.
  10. Couple of contests were seen on World of Warships Asia Server - 1. Design Camo for Helena - When are we going to see this camo in-game ? US Cruiser Arc is over but no sign of this camo or early mission for those who participated in this camo designing contest. Apparently the page has also been taken down - https://worldofwarships.asia/en/news/contests/camo-content-helena/ I don't have the ship currently nor do i have its predecessor Dallas but i was curious to know what happened to that camo and its early access mission as i had participated in designing the camo 2. Gifts for Sincerity Contest - https://worldofwarships.asia/en/news/community/my-wows-story/ Why do i play world of warships - uploading video on YouTube gives the participating players with Containers as gifts. I have uploaded video on you tube with the necessary hash tags - the rewards were suppose to come on 20th August, but no sign of announcement of the same or no sign of the said containers. "Waiting for an Update on above two eagerly" Thank You. P.S - Sorry, incorrectly posted in Public Test Forum Section
  11. Gifts for Sincerity was announced in which players playing world of warships were invited to share why they play world of warships ? https://worldofwarships.asia/en/news/community/my-wows-story/ Results of this was announced recently - https://worldofwarships.asia/en/news/community/my-wows-story-results/ Now this article had said - If we missed your video for some reason, let us know by commenting on this article with a link to the video you uploaded and double-check that you included the required hashtags, your in-game nickname, and server As bad as my RNG gets, my name was missing from this list from Asia Server. Two other players also had similar problems. So its been 3 days now, whether the concerned team have gone through our videos and whether we are eligible for 5 Free containers as mentioned in article ? If yes then when are we going to receive the said containers ?
  12. Ok, so already having bought an Eagle camo, and having earnt 95 Shark tokens, I was looking to buy a few containers with 10 tokens of each in order to get myself another camo. Even though the event ends on the 22nd, the containers have already been removed from the shop. Is this right? Am I just missing something? Has my client gone funny? It does not make any sense, this is the point where lots of people are going to make last minute panic buys to avoid missing out.... Did I miss a warning last week or sometime when it said the containers were being removed early, was I just not paying attention to the warnings? It doesn't make any sense... I'm disappointed, it seems WG doesn't want my money...
  13. I seem to recall reading somewhere (can't remember where) that you could set it so you have a chance to get items for the new french collection from normal daily containers as well (after you earn/buy your first one) ... did they forget to implement this? or does it come at a later date? because I'm not seeing that option anywhere right now, even after buying one from the shop and earing 3 more.
  14. Shankeyyy

    Halloween event

Even though I scored 3 & 4 stars in two battles and didn't get any pumpkin containers. Is this some kind of glitch? Am I the only one who didn't get the containers?

  16. So WG is basically giving us a chance to get a free ship for 5$,3$,1$ in their santas wanted event. Since I'm new to this, I'm skeptical about where I spend my money. However this seems to be a good deal. I Ask all those who purchased 1 or more container to reply what they got in each together with which value of containers they bought. It would really help me know what to buy. Also feel free to give me suggestions. I really want a premium ship(mostly not an emden or ishizuchi )....so tell me what you think is worth spending. Cheers
