  1. Please someone give me the executive summary on the Tier V and Tier VI ships, so I know what to expect. Comparisons with Furutaka and Aoba would be helpful.
  2. Ok completely shameless humblebrag here... Spiteful Warspite by @Bex_o7 honestly you folks should like and subscribe to him, his commentary is always awesome (very strongly suggest you check out his MN DD series, very good information on the French Destroyers). You will learn stuff from watching as he often remarks on good/bad plays, angling, aim, etc. Had a ripper of a game in a Warspite, it was finally good enough to be featured (I send him a few from time to time). Anyways, here's the link, enjoy folks...

    New premium: HMS Exeter

New premium ship revealed! Tier FIVE Royal Navy heavy cruiser, HMS Exeter. Really good stealth (being T5...), good shell velocity, Repair Party and Catapult Aircrafts... Should be T6 instead? Reminder: You don't need to have a Facebook account to view Facebook posts.
  4. The Royal Navy event this month must be the most generous (easy?) one yet. A Tier 6 premium ship, a T5 DD (yes, of course I get Acasta and not Jervis... I am not lucky just persistent), and a truckload of flags'n'stuff in return for playing what, maybe 30 random battles over three weekends? This is my Warspite. Currently one of the few in the game equipped with last stand and survivability expert, but Jack Dunkirk is just popping in for tea before going back to Acasta. Acasta ... people seem to slag this ship off, but I like this DD a lot. It's similar to a Nicholas I guess, but sneakier, and with several patented RN tricks: SmokeOnDemand(tm), TorpsInALine(tm), and Stop'n'Start(tm) which, combined, offer near non stop hilarity. Plus once the line opens up there's Jervis and Lightning to look forward to.

    how to Lion?

i'm doing badly in this ship with 37% wr, the shell dispersion are completely random, even hitting stationary targets at 14km is relies heavily on RNG, the AP feel good if it actually hits and connect, but it doesn't, so is the HE and fire chance, doing only 2 - 3k every salvo is dissapointing, everytime i shoot feels like rolling a dice andhoping it would get good result, and the economic also feels weird, i feel like it has pre buff CV economics, strugling to get good base exp despite in a good games, is Lion really a waste of time exp and money? i should have kept my KGV

    French over RN ships

I'm by no means complaining, I'm happy to see new ships and I'll definitely give the french line a try, but I would genuinely like to know why a French cruiser line has been introduced before a Royal Navy DD, BB or even CV line, considering that at the era this game is set the Royal Navy was the most powerful in the world and the standard that all others ascribed too. I'm just curious as to how the decision making precess works.

    New ship lines

Okay guys with the German BB line practically here, and there being probably only about 4 months left of the year when she is produced, I have to say WG is going to be full on trying to finish those last 2 lines. Has anyone got any newer info on approx' release dates for them as the year is rapidly running out. All I've heard about for the last 2-3 months has been that the e German BB's are coming, so if I was to use that time frame then we'll only see the one of them; which apparently is the RN Cruiser line first, followed by the KVM German line early next year. Or is it simply that everyone is just so hyped up over the KVM BB line that all the other lines are falling under the radar? I just can't see them releasing 2 lines over 2 updates. Thoughts?

    British and French "Atlanta"?

So... I introduce to you the Dido-class cruiser of the Royal Navy (Not dildo, okay?) This ship has a displacement of about 7000 tons. Pretty much similar to the US Atlanta. Her armament is 10-time 133 mm dual purpose gun in dual mounts and 6 torpedo tubes (3 on each side). All turrets are center-line mounted. If this ship makes it into the game, it would likely to be a tier VII premium cruiser for the Royal Navy, her stat and play-style would be a lot like Atlanta. She has less number of guns than the Atlanta, but her guns are bigger. I don't know about the torpedoes but it seems like the torpedoes on British ships are just as bad as the American's. And this sexy lady is the French De Grasse-class cruiser. She would be similar to the Atlanta, Also has 127 mm gun. 16-time 127 mm guns in dual mounts, making it 8 turrets. But she can't have a full broadside of all of her guns. Only 4 turrets are center-line mounted. The other 4 are mounted on her side, making a full broadside of 12 guns. 12 compared to 14 on the Atlanta is a bit of a downside. She doesn't have any torpedo (1946 configuration). But she has a heavier displacement of 9300 tons. So i guess this ship will have a pretty healthy HP pool compared to the Dildo... Sorry, Dido and the Atlanta. Both ships have pretty good top speed of average 32-33 knots.
  16. The KGV-class battleships were the best ships the RN got. But after the destruction of HMS Hood, and the sinking of Prince of Wales, and Pearl Harbor, they realized that they needed a better battleship. The Lion-class Battleship, were modified KGVs, elongated and fitted with 9x16 inch guns, just like the North Carolina & South Dakota class of the USN, and an improved version of the 16 inch guns of the Nelson & Rodney.. But they were scrapped, realizing that the new 16 inch guns were still in development, plus the resources were scarce to scrape together for the British. So they made a parallel project, using the 8x15inch guns on the Courageous-class and learning from the lessons learned to make a true successor to the KGV-class. The result, was HMS Vanguard. Underwater protection was top notch, design against hit from 1000kg Torpedos. Unfortunately, she was too late to see action in WWII, being commissioned in 1946, due to the constant delays and overruns in development and design of the ship. She was then used for the Royal Trip to South Africa and Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation Review in 1952. So, when the Royal Navy comes in the future patches, HMS Vanguard would most likely be Tier X BB or Tier IX BB of the RN, and if it were to be tier IX, then most likey, the Lion-class Battleships would be the Tier X BBs
