Pan-America Destroyer Tech Tree Suggestion (Incomplete Cruiser and Battleship)
S0und_Theif posted a topic in Suggestions
Hi Wargameing Dev team, I would like to suggest a complete Pan-America destroyer line. However I came in 2 problems: 1. I cant find a suitable T1 for the Pan- America gunboat for the tech tree and need help on this. 2. Pan-America needs a unique gimmick or play style (Pan-Asia Deep-Water torpedo, British ambush and flee destroyer, German tanky destroyers, Russian suicide tactic, Commonwealth creep smoke). May it be armament, consumable, or their stats. However I was able to complete a destroyer line for Pan-America. I hope you like them. Here is what I have come up with when looking around the internet: Main Line DD T2 Alexandrino de Alenca / Maranhão (BR) Originally Porpoise "K-Class 1913" (UK) Armament: 3 × QF 4 in (102 mm) Mark IV guns (3 x 1) 1 × QF 2 pdr (40 mm) pom-pom Mk. I'm aware none of the Dockyard event's warship have been made available again; but what are everyone's thought on Odin? How long do you guys think WarGaming would take to get her back in the Armoury/Premium shop? For Odin's user out there, how does Odin perform after the commander rework, and what differentiate her from Scharnhorst and Pommern? (ignoring disparity caused by Tiers)

Hi Waregameing Dev Team, Would like to suggest to add Swedish Cruiser Gotland (with 6 guns, 4 turrets) at T5 or T6 and Tre Kronor and/or Gota Lejon at T6 or T7. Like Polish Destroyer Blyskawica, they may be premeiums and may or may not have unique playstyle. And fly the Swedish flag. Side Note: Gota Lejon was sold to Chile as Almirante Latorre, possible for future Pan-American cruiser premium. I noticed that these cruisers may resemble German T5 Konigsberg or T6 Nurnberg style. Maybe the game play may not be far from that but should be different enough to be unique.

Commonwealth of Nations Destroyer Tech Tree Suggestion (Incomplete Cruiser and Battleship)
S0und_Theif posted a topic in Suggestions
Hi Wargameing Dev team, While playing the UK destroyer line it got me thinking, the Commonwealth of Nations fought along side with the British during WW2 in both Atlantic and Pacific theater. And after looking around the internet, I found that it is possible to create a Commonwealth of Nations destroyer line like the Pan-Asia destroyer line. Commonwealth of Nations playstyle/gimmik is the "Creeping Smoke Generator" and the "Individual Torpedo Launch" (Haida and Perth), where as Pan-Asia is "Deep Water Torpedo". The playstyle almost mirrors British DD, smoke, harrass, torp, flee. Almost. But if wargameing has other ideas to make the playstyle unique, I welcome it. Here is what I have come up with when looking around the internet: CA/CL T1 Swan (AU) -> (Grimsby Class) Note: Its T1 DD Line T2 Champlain (CA) -> HMS Torbay (S Class, T Class) Close to HMS Medea T3 Vancouver (CA) -> HMS Vimy (V Class, W Class) Mirrors HMS Valkyrie T4 Waterhen (AU) -> HMS Waterhen (V Class, W Class) Mirrors HMS Wakeful T5 Saguenay (CA) -> (A Class, B Class) Mirrors HMS Acasta T6 Ottowa (CA) -> HMS Griffin (G Class, H Class) Mirrors HMS Galant T7 Quadrant (CA) or Rajput (IN) -> (Q Class, R Class) Note: Unique T7 T8 Jan van Riebeeck (ZA) -> (W Class, Z Class) Note: Unique T8 Note: Either armed with 120 mm or 113 mm or gun can be upgraded / switchable. T9 Anzac (AU) or Badr (PK) -> ("Battle" Class) Mirrors HMS Jutland T10 Voyager (AU) -> (Daring Class) Mirrors HMS Daring Note: HMAS Vampire already used in T3. Note: Like the Voyager satellite, maybe they can do a unique Camo after space battles. 🙂 Branch Tech Tree (One set torpedo launcher but early access to dual mount guns in T7 branch) Edited and added on Dec. 18, 2019 T6 Fraser (CA) -> (C Class) Close to HMS Galant Note: Originally has two set of torpedo tubes. One set was removed for additional 102 mm AA gun. T7 Athabaskan (CA) or Arunta (AU) -> ("Tribal" Class) Mirrors HMS Haida Note: 6 - 120 mm guns and one set of quadruple torpedo tubes. OR T7 Napier (AU) -> (J, K, and N Class) Mirrors HMS Jervis Note: Original N class has only one set of quintule torpedo tubes. T8 Crusader (CA) or Jahangir (PK) -> (Cr Class) Note: Unique T8 T9 Tobruk (AU) or Khaibar (PK) -> ("Battle" Class) Mirrors HMS Jutland Note: Originally built with two sets of torpedo tubes. One will be removed to follow trend. T10 Vendetta (AU) -> (Daring Class) Mirrors HMS Daring Note: Built with only one set of quintuple torpedo tube. T9 Anzac and T10 Voyager guns are too small to do some real damage. In my British Tech Tree Suggestion, I requested for T9 Jutland and T10 Daring be having the option to equip 133 mm (5.25 in guns), or split them as another class with 133 mm (5.25 in) guns installed as default. I would like to see T9 Anzac and T10 Voyager have the same treatment. Either have a 133 mm (5.25 in) guns be optional equipment or have a separate ship with 133 mm (5.25 in) guns as default. Possible premium ships. T6 Leander (NZ) -> HMS Leander (Leander Class) - CL Mirrors HMS Leander T6 Ontario or Quebec (CA) -> HMS Valiant (Queen Elizabeth Class) - BB Mirrors HMS Warspite Note: She was never built, but when Canada plans to build her, she would look line Queen Elizabeth in her 2nd refit in 1926 (with 1 smoke stack but retains the original bridge and secondary armaments of 6 in guns) Note: Although unconfirmed, Australia also plans to procure some Queen Elizabeth class battleships of their own. She would look line Queen Elizabeth in her 2nd refit in 1926 (with 1 smoke stack but retains the original bridge and secondary armaments of 6 in guns) Personal opinion: Due to the success of both Queen Elizabeth Class and Bayern Class, Pan America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile and possibly Peru) and Pan Europe (Spain and Netherlands) planned to procure their own battleships based on both British and German designs. It would be a common sight to see these ships in T6 plays with their own twists and gimmicks. Foot Note: CA = Canada AU = Australia NZ = New Zealand ZA = South Africa IN = India* PK = Pakistan* * = May possibly serve as Pan-Asian ships I hope that you like this suggestion and let me know if I have missed other DD that might mirror them in their respective tiers.- 10 replies

How do i make my tech tree ship to be premium?
Mike_Ehrmantraut posted a topic in General Discussions
So i saw my Monarch and my KGV have this premium thing on their BB emblem. I was wondering how do i do that to some other ship, because its either i did it but i forgot or its somewhat random. I just want to make the grind a bit light. -
AL collab. event this year once again annoyed weebs by locking their anime shipgirl captain of choice behind bundling / lootbox offers ... and bundling most of the camos too. There were a few items for straight-up purchase, however. Of the three individual camos - Belfast, Dunkerque, and Atago - the Atago one stood out as being unusually tasteful and high effort. I have hundreds of games in Atago, so yeah I'm willing to drop $20 for a nice skin. Amazingly the gold paint doesn't come across as tacky. Don't really see what's going on with the logo on the sides of her bow though. Sharktooth? Mountain? Bow wave? Here's some pics if you are interested in what the package looks like - (P.S. You can also preview camos in game, which is nice.)

earls inquiry Earl's Mini-Inquiry: A look at Yugoslav Destroyer Split
Adorable_Arona posted a topic in General Discussions
Earl's Mini-Inquiry: A look at Yugoslav Destroyer Split Historical Background Original Design She was conceived in early 1930s from the rising need to counter any Italian destroyer in case of conflict. The Yugoslav decided to built a single large destroyer type as opposed to another Beograds, and contracted a French company to design the new ship. For start, she was based on the famed Le Fantasque-class in MN service, focusing on speed and firepower. However, she was going to be powered by British-designed propulsion (which drives her up to 37 knots), Advanced fire controls from France and guns from Sweden and Czechoslovakia. Split was intended to mount five Skoda 140 mm (5.5 in)/56 guns (massive for a destroyer, though some said it was going to be replaced by 127 mm variant instead) and respectable anti-aircraft punch with twin Skoda 37 mm and 15 mm. She also packs two, triple 533 mm torpedo tubes for good measure. This 2,400t beast could be called the most powerful destroyer at that time. She was then laid down in July 1939. Italian Service Sadly, WWII put a halt on her construction, and soon the Italians captured her half-complete on her namesake city. The Regia Marina decided to continue her construction, replacing the machinery with Italian-built one, and the main armament changed to 135 mm (5.3 in)/45 guns with her AA replaced by Breda. Split was put on high priority as the Italians lacked destroyers, and she was launched in 1943 with this configuration, though work was halted again after the Italian surrendered. She was briefly used by the Germans and stripped of any valuable material before being scuttled. Post-War Yugoslav Service With their navy lacking any sizable warships, the Yugoslav government decided to 'resurrect' Split and began ordering parts to properly rebuilt her. However, with Tito-Stalin Split (totally not a pun), they were unable to get her original armament. Due to this, Yugoslavia approached US and UK, and they give them surplus 127 mm (5 in)/38, 40 mm Bofors and advanced electronics with her Italian propulsion replaced by British one. With minor modifications to her hull and removal of one of her torpedo tubes, Split was finally commissioned into Yugoslav Navy in 1953 as flagship. So, considering her very 'unique' life, it is almost evil not to include her in World of Warships. Not only that, she has three different configurations to potentially play with. European Harekaze? Now we're talking! Annoying destroyer with hard-hitting guns that reload slowly, fast speed, and ok-ish AA. More balanced destroyer with hard-hitting guns that reload a little quicker and faster speed in exchange for bad AA. Dakka-Dakka destroyer with good AA and hydro? So, What do you guys think? does she fits in the game as a potential premium ship?- 24 replies

Why There Should 2 Tier IX German Premium Cruisers?
Robby_Hermanto posted a topic in General Discussions
I think this inquiry is best addressed to developer team. However, feel free to answer and comment. Why WG should make 2 Tier 9 premium cruisers instead to make one to Tier 10? USN have T9 Alaska and T10 Puerto Rico IJN have T9 Azuma and T10 Yoshino Why KMS should have 2 T9s based on the same hull? -
Hello Everyone Again, while reading on wikipedia about Hipper, i found out that there's a successor to the famed Admiral-class battlecruiser from the 1920s, designated 'J3' class. She was designed to fix many of Hood's problems, and match the US' Lexington-class battlecruiser. Supposedly, it has a marginally improved protection scheme (i believe more resistance to plunging fire) while mounting three triple 15 in/381 mm Mk. I guns, targeted to achieve 32 knots. Further works resulted in G3 and eventually Nelson-class. From afar, it looks like a larger Renown with triple turrets. Interested, i decided to tinker some aspect of the design (courtesy to shipbucket.com for the design!), and here it is: Instead of the triple 15 inchers, i have it replaced by a twin 18 in/457 mm Mk. II gun, and gave it Renown-style superstructure. Essentially, it's a tea-powered Georgia minus the modern thingy. Some specifications i can found: Main Battery : 3x3 15 in/381 mm (original), 3x2 18 in/457 mm (proposed) Secondary Battery : 6x2 and 6x1 6 in/152 mm gun (original design), could be supplemented by QF 4 in like Hood was IRL or replaced by either 5.25 in/133 mm or 4.5 in/114 mm dual purpose guns. Anti-Aircraft Battery : Not found, possibly Vickers 40 mm Pom-Poms Protection : 305 mm angled main belt, 51 to 102 mm deck Speed : 32 knots Keep in mind these are her original 1920s spec, any hypothetical refits like the one done on Renown or (supposedly) Hood will significantly enhance her performance. If i were correct, Hood is planned to mount sixteen to twenty 5.25 in/133 mm DP gun found on KGV, and her armor belt reinforced to withstand more punishment. This could be also done to J3 as well considering their similarities. This is a hypothetical retrofit of the design, with aforementioned DP gun and changes like flare bow and catapult. I named her HMS Duke of Edinburgh, and thought she will fit in T9 as a teabag Georgia or mini-Thunderer. Well...any opinions?

HMS Renown as Premium Tier VII British Battleship
Adorable_Arona posted a topic in General Discussions
HMS Renown (1944) The only battlecruiser of the Royal Navy to remain afloat by the end of the war, Renown was somewhat unique. Her relatively weak armor and despite her size carried only six 381 mm main armament may seem underwhelming compared to other capital ship, she was very fast at 31 knots and carries decent anti-aircraft armament of 72 Oerlikon 20 mm guns. I potentially see Renown as a long-range sharpshooter with accurate but fast firing guns to compensate the low number or support ship with her blazing AA and speed to keep up with the cruisers. But her low-sitting thin belt discourage mid-range brawling like how Hood is played currently. Feel free to discuss :D -
I know a lot of you does not like the new CV at all, I have to admit that the new CV is quite different from the old one. Before the CV rework, my PR of CV is Bad, but after the rework, I feel like it is quite workable for me, and my rating is now sways between Great and Unicum. So I decided to have some premium CVs under my collection, but I don't know which to get. My friend bought 20 containers and he got all premium CVs out of the containers except Kaga, sounds like a worthy purchase. So I also took a leap of faith and bought 20 Premium Naval Aviation Containers for myself, and here is what I got: Of course containers is completely based on RNG, but just in case players like you might consider buying the bundle, this is for your reference. Before the patch 0.8.0, I usually chose to bulk open containers so that I can reduce the interval between I open the crates, and hence reduce the randomness of the RNG based on time. Now that the "Open all containers" option is available, I would certainly recommend using that to get the most out of the open-crate-interval reduction. Good luck captains!

Hi, I've been playing since 2015. I love this game. However, I feel that there are a few ships many have and many don't, that need to be made available to those (for whatever reason) who missed out on them. I can think of the Missouri and the Belfast a examples, but there are plenty more. Even if they were brought back to the premium shop for a day (announced with plenty of warning) or a week, it would give many players the opportunity to get ships which have been available in the past but are unobtainable now. This is not just for game play but for historical value as well, I mean who wouldn't want the Mighty MO??? Even if they were brought back for an anniversary like the day WW2 ended etc. Also imagine the boost to funding of WOW that would occur if they were to go on sale for a specific length of time 😁 Anyhow, this is just a thought, hope the developers might consider it. All the best, Wolven

Hi Wargameing Dev team, Blyskawica is kinda lonely being the only Polish destroyer in the tech tree. Could you also add her sister and her predecessor: T6 ORP Wicher Armament (1939): 4 × 5.1 in (130 mm) guns (4 x 1) 2 × 2 pdr (40 mm) wz. 28 AA guns (2 x 1) 4 × 0.52 in (13.2 mm) wz. 30 HMGs (2 x 2) 6 × 550 mm/533 mm/450 mm torpedo tubes (3 x 2) ORP Burza Armament 1939: 4 × 5.1 in (130 mm) guns (4 x 1) 2 × 2 pdr (40 mm) wz. 28 AA guns (2 x 1) 4 × 0.52 in (13.2 mm) wz. 30 HMGs (2 x 2) 6 × 550 mm/533 mm torpedo tubes (3 x 2) Armament 1955: 4 x 100 mm guns (4 x 1) [definitely will require inertia fuse HE or maintain penetration of 20mm to be flexible] 8 × 1.5 in (37 mm) guns (4 x 2) 6 × 550 mm/533 mm torpedo tubes (3 x 2) T7 ORP Grom Armament 1936: 7 × 4.7 in (120 mm) Bofors wz. 34/36 guns 4 × 1.6 in (40 mm) AA Bofors guns (2 x 2) 8 × 0.52 in (13.2 mm) AA Hotchkiss HMG (4 x 2) 6 × 550 mm/533 mm torpedo tubes (2 x 3) ORP Blyskawica Armament 1937: 7 × 4.7 in (120 mm) Bofors wz. 34/36 guns (3 x 2 and 1 x 1) 4 × 1.6 in (40 mm) AA Bofors guns (2 x 2) 8 × 0.52 in (13.2 mm) AA Hotchkiss HMG (4 x 2) 6 × 550 mm/533 mm torpedo tubes (2 x 3) Armament 1941: 8 × QF 4-inch (102 mm) Mk XVI dual-purpose guns (4 x 2) [definitely will require inertia fuse HE or maintain penetration of 20 mm to be flexible] 4 × 1.6 in (40 mm) AA Bofors guns (2 x 2) 8 × 0.79 in (20 mm) AA Oerlikon guns (4 x 2) 6 × 550 mm/533 mm torpedo tubes (2 x 3) ORP Wicher and ORP Grom was sunk during the war, and ORP Burza and ORP Blyskawica survived the war. What if, ORP Wicher and ORP Grom can switch torpedo armament, while ORP Burza and ORP Blyskawica can switch artillery armament. Torpedo Armament for Wicher and Grom: 550 mm = 7 to 8 km, 18400 dmg 533 mm = 8 to 9 km, 14400 dmg Artillery Armament for Burza: 130 mm = 6.5 sec reload 1900 HE dmg and 2500 AP dmg 100 mm = 4.5 sec reload 1600 HE dmg and 2100 AP dmg Artillery Armament for Blyskawica: 120 mm = 6.5 sec reload 1700 HE dmg and 2200 AP dmg 102 mm = 4.5 sec reload 1500 HE dmg and 2000 AP dmg This will make them flexible and be comfortable to players who wish to brawl or ninja their enemies. I hope you will take these into consideration. 🙂

I know that a Premium ship gives an XP bonus (& a credit bonus). I know that a Premium account (i.e. Premium time) gives an XP bonus (& a credit bonus). My question is: What happens if I play a Premium ship while on Premium time? Do I get both sets of bonuses or is it still only really just one "Premium" bonus? I can't test it as I don't have any Premium time now. Pretty straight-forward question I hope. Thanks so much. 😀 Afujintaro

Hi Waregameing Dev Team, Would like to suggest to add Estonian Destroyer Vambola at T3. And Lennuk at T4, Vambola is Kapitan Miklucha Maklai (Orfey Class Destroyer - Russia) Lennuk is Avtroil (Izyaslav Class Destroyer - Russia) Both ships are from Russia, both ships were captured by the British in 1918, given to the Estonian Navy. Like Polish Destroyer Blyskawica, they may be premeiums and may or may not have unique playstyle. And fly the Estonian flag. Note: Both ships were sild to Peru in 1933: Vambola as Almirante Villar Lennuk as Almirante Guise These 2 may be possible to create a Pan-America Destroyer line. Although my research is still incomplete, but it is possible to create a Pan-American Destroyer line. Just need a Playstyle/Gimmik

I love the game, and I wish to buy some premium ships. But, I think there should be a option to test drive a prem ship, before you buy it. Like example,I like the Ashitaka, but don't know if it is worth spending money for,if I have not ever played it. All i am suggesting to you guys, create a option,so that one player can play a prem ship, for one day, only once from his account. That way player will understand if the play style of the ship suits his or her play style. I am saying this because,I wanted to buy Atlanta, but scared that the ship might be too fragile for me to handle,so i tried my friends account to play the ship once, and i loved it instantly. Bought it the very next day. I hope this is not a impossible thing to consider. Thanks

Why does WG not rotate the ships for sale in the Premium Shop? Every week it seems its the same ships as the week before with just some in packages, to seemingly double or triple the price, but no rotation through the stock of other Premium ships. I keep hoping to see 'HMS/HMAS Vampire' (that became part of the famous WW2 'Scrap Iron Flotilla') up for sale. The British Destroyer line role out would seem like a good time to put it up for sale as it was a former RN V-Class Destroyer almost the same as the W-Class 'HMS Wakeful', just added to the game. I also keep looking for the Russian Battleship 'Imperator Nikolai I'. This week's Halloween operation uses a reskinned version the 'Imperator Nikolai I' as 'Rasputin', the final enemy boss ship. Again this seem like the perfect week to sell that ship and its special Halloween skin but no... why??? I know I haven't been on WoWS very long, as I only recently left my countries' Navy, and so missed lots of great ships like the 'Arpeggio of Blue Steel' (ARP) ships (which WG probably never make available again) for example. Even my joining WoWS was problematic in that I joined on a referral but never got the free 'USS Texas' and 'Diana' I was meant to get, to which customer service did absolutely nothing to fix when I raised a ticket about it. For a game that was only about 2 1/2 years old when I joined its not been a very welcoming experience; being deigned your free joining ships, and then to see all these other ships in the game you want but they are apparently locked away from you forever because, in my case, I was busy serving my country instead of playing this game before. I wonder how many other new players feel similarly.

Considering what to buy to take advantage of doubloon cash back thing. LWM review makes me think Hipper is not outclassed by Eugen. Your experience in Prinz Eugen? Buy and regret? Buy and like?

Hi All Been getting back into the game recently and was thinking of dropping some cash on a premium ship finally. Been enjoying my destroyers to no end so i'm thinking of grabbing a premium one of those. But having been out of the loop for a while I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on which one will be a sound purchase? I've heard a lot of good things about the Loyang due to it's hydro but thought i'd check in again since that thread was from 2017. Thanks in advance all! (and sorry if this is a question asked hundreds of times before, I don't dwell on the forums and couldn't see a similar thread in the more recent posts)

Hello Ive been wondering what I should buy with the money I have atm. I'm a player who plays a ton of Battleships and Destroyers. (I only have british cruiser to play for cruisers ex. Mino) So my friends told me to get the Nelson since its really fun but I also wanted to try out the cruisers. I have tried Takao(Atago ver. Arp) and Mino but I have never really got around trying german cruisers before. since Prinz Eugen and Hipper just got buffed recently (Eugen with Heal charges and Hipper with better rof) There is also a Scharnhorst in the shop. But since they all have their strengths and weaknesses I have watched videos of CCs playing them and listened to them explaining it. Still Its way hard for me to decide. Can you guys recommend me something and maybe also tell me why? (FYI, I have played mino,Musashi,Tirpitz, takao,Yueyang so far. I did enjoy Yueyang and mino with radar.)

I'm pretty much close to getting 750,000 FXP. I was supposed initially get Musashi, but with the announcement of USS Alaska, I'm now confused whether which ship is more worth it. I know Musashi plays more of the traditional BB gameplay, like going bow on and getting citadel nukes on anything. But I'm kinda curious with the Alaska. How does it play, from what I know, it was 305mm guns, so I'm guessing it plays like a cruiser hunter, like Scharnhorst? or can it not brawl close range? Also how does the two compare in the case of credit gain?
