What happened to the Forum Contest - Letter to santa?
Dominus_Potatus replied to LawrenceXVIII's topic in General Discussions
The events has been finished, I believe the event finished at 19 Dec 2022. It might be in the judgment phase, it is weird though that it is being hidden. -

How many times have you met afk ship(s) in random or ranked, especially ranked? Ranked is supposed to be the most competitive match, and it can simply be ruined by a ship that is AFK. My definition of AFK: 1. Not moving from its spot for first 1 minute of the game fo ranked and 2 minutes of the game for random. 2. Excluding point 1, not doing any activities (shooting, turning turret, moving) for 5 minutes. My concept: 1. Make the AFK player get auto-cooldown from Ranked. First warning is 30 minutes cooldown, second warning is 2 hours cooldown, 3rd warning is 1 day cooldown, 4th warning is 3 days cooldown, 5th warning is 1 week cooldown, final warning is 1 sprint cycle cooldown. 2. The cooldown resets each cycle 3. If the player gets total of 10 warning in 3 cycles, it will be banned for 1 year from ranked. 4. For random, since it is not that competitive: first warning is only warning, second warning is 30 minutes cooldown, third warning is 1h cooldown, fourth warning is 2h cooldown, fifth warning is 3h cooldown. 5. The cooldown for random is reset each server cycle

First Impressions on Dirigible Derby Gamemode
Dominus_Potatus replied to cellum95's topic in General Discussions
yeah same, I didn't think that it would be great! It is like a convoy but improved! It is forcing the team to push and brawl. Well... sometimes you will meet that players who will stay very far and somehow had 100% HP in the late game, but most of the time, it is fun game mode -
Any tips for IJN Destroyers from tier 5 and above?
Dominus_Potatus replied to Gabgab31's topic in General Discussions
The concept of IJN DD is simple: stealthy and don't get spotted. heavily relied on concealment and positioning, so you better hone your positioning skill, try to see the big picture instead of focusing on dealing damage. A good IJN DD player can hold the flank even against 5 ships (as long as there are no radar ships) -
Pure madness! Have seen similar account that only play Akizuki... the other ships are for getting akizuki.... it was pure madness

I am asking this for real, why are there a lot of Chinese players that use numbers as their IGN? Just why?

Dominus_Potatus replied to Dominus_Potatus's topic in General Discussions
So you are saying it is on the XY-plane or just say, the dispersion of bullet when falling on the water, right? -

And can we agree that dispersion on XZ and XY will be different? -

First of all, I just recently play this for my daily games, so there are some mechanics of the game that I don't really understand. English is not my first language so please be lenient with me... Here is my problem, one of the community member give me this image about dispersion ellipse: So that our perception is same, let we use this image which I stole from google: Let's say that from BOW to AFT it is on X-axisand from base to superstructure is Z-axis while width of the ship is y-axis. Let's say I am shooting from somewhere on point (0, y, 0) Does the image of dispersion ellipse is the elipse on XY-plane or XZ-plane?
