Yamato's penetration needs to be reduced

Yeah, some ships should get their turrent module health increased, like the soviet DDs but, at least from my point of view, a 40X/460mm shell going through one of my Zao turrets should do something...

Why the Warspite is the Yamato of tier 6s.

Why was it that you transfered? BTW, I've got nothing against people that have misconceptions about the game. It's just that it makes me grumpy watching a supertester, someone who has or should have a proper knowledge of each ship weaknesses and strenghts and what it's "working as intended" throwing such shallow judgements like this whole "Warspite is OP" thread and "cruisers are easy mode" Edit: Vocabulary doesn't change the validity of a message though I guess I'll change the vocabulary to fit this forum's

Now, really? Is this the kind of answer you can bring now? Strawman and ad-hominen? In any case, my point was made clear so you can keep advocating for whatever you want.

That's rich coming from someone who's got his stats private. Just in case you haven't noticed it I'm not from here, I'm from EU. Direct from the RU developers: From top to bottom: AP HE Secondaries HE and AP (Almost invisible) Shipborne torpedoes Bombs Airborne torpedoes Fires Flooding Ram (Almost invisible) So yeah, world of fires, HE OP plz nurf! Besides, who the (Edited) belives that Mogami's and Cleveland's 150/155 guns are OP after the nerf they received some months ago? You are basically just crying that a cruiser is using its strenghts to outplay you and even so this chart clearly shows that your perception about the power of HE, specially in high tiers, is completely wrong. And that's basically what she's got that makes her unique, her brawling capabilities. Even with your oh so feared insta pen in the bow a NM and specially a Fuso can get thenseleves in an advantage position against Warspite more easily than the other way around. Also, what the guy above me mentioned, MM can be harsh on Warspite too. Profanity, Post Edited, User already Warned ~lengxv6

Why the Warspite is the Yamato of tier 6s.

Tell all that crap to Warspite shit deck armor and short range. Yes, it will penetrate the bow armor but NO, it won't straight citadel you like Yamato's guns. Warspite has allways been THE brawler BB in this game, even before BBs received cruiser like turning circles and rudder shift times. In exchange she's extremely vulnerable to long range AP fire even from cruisers. It's not strange for Fuso and New Mexico to deal citadel after citadel with each salvo against Warspite if it is steep plunging fire. (Edited) Insults, Post Edited, User Warned ~lengxv6

    High Tier DD action

Dunno how it is here in Asia but IJN DDs are in a good position now on high tiers thanks to the scarcity of CVs, at least in EU. All dem Shimas...

Is it possible to change the server ?

Trust me, it is an advantage. If you type something in chat in NA/RU at least you can be sure it's gonna be understood by most users. Typing something in EU is like asking for a miracle because not only you'll have to pray for not getting an unresponsive team but also you can't know if the other players even know english. It's even worse when the chat is kidnapped by a pair of germans or any other people from eastern europe and it becomes impossible to use.

Is it possible to change the server ?

There are tomatoes everywhere so I doubt you'll find a bigger IQ on any other server. NA and RU server have the advantage of a single language for most users though. Trust me, you don't want to know much about the RU server unless you want to eat a load of bullcrap everyday.

And as a DD player you should not only plan for scape routes and methods to run away from surface ships but also prevent you from bbeing nullified or be put in a totally helpless position as a DD by enemy planes. Indeed, not easy but as they say, this is a team game. It may not happen that frequently in randoms but when clan wars are implemented and to a lesser degree in ranked matches, it is the job of the ally CV to ensure a valuable asset like a DD is as undisturbed as possible. In any case, not only DDs, but all classes can find thenselves in hopeless situations and experience can give a player enough foresight to prevent falling in those situations. Being permaspotted and dying from planes as a DD is one of those situations.

    Yo-Lang!

Benson is beastly thanks to having no weakness against tier VIII ships. This premium Benson has 6 km torps and one less gun which makes her quite less powerful compared to her original form. I'd rather take a Błyskawica than Yo Lang.

I did say bombed meaning dive bombers. Usually CV players don't waste torp bombers on DDs and even so an skilled DD will make the torp run a pain in the ass and an unsure run, specially now that all torpedoes from CVs run at 35 knots which means all high tier DDs can outrun then with the speed flag and/or engine boost.

    Langley OP

Leaving aside strafing and manual drops, which an average Langley/Hosho player don't use thanks to their inexperience on CV gameplay, it's exactly due to 99% of the players being new to then that the inbalances bettwen Hosho and Langley haven't being fleshed out. The devs tend to analize the statistical data of matches and combine that with player and supertester feedback but they give a much higher value to the statistical data. There is a complete superiority of the Langley compared to Hosho, so much that if 2 CV optimates took both ships in oponent teams the Langley would easily nullify the Hosho. There are various reasons for this. - Ammo load of Langley's fighter. Langley's elite fighters double to ammo of Hosho's elite fighters. This allows for longer engagements, more strafing runs before running out of ammo but above all, it gives enough time to Langley's fighters to deal with Hosho's and then strafe/attack Hosho's torpedo bombers without running out of ammunition. - Hosho's torpedo bombers are very slow. Hell, all attack planes at those tiers are slow but every experienced IJN CV player knows that the best tactic the IJN has is strike and retreat as fast as possible. Of course an experienced enemy USN CV knows how to read a map based on the info allied ships can give her about the enemy IJN planes and cover possible aproach routes by smart positioning of its fighters. This is the beauty of fighting IJN vs USN CVs. This doesn't happen on tier IV Hosho vs Langley matches due to the small size of the maps which makes easier for Langley to reposition and react effectively to an IJN attack planes aproach. Furthermore, properly setting up a good torp run with Hosho, given the double squadron and the torp spread takes some time too, specially if the objective is manouvering to evade. All in all a Langley fighter squadron can block and/or ruin a Hosho torp run, specially if the USN player is agressive and uses its strenghts, with relative ease. - Fighter strafe makes fighters unstopable. Meaning, they can't be engaged while performing it. Strafing also adds 15 more knots to your fighters during the move. An smart Langley player can make use of this for better positioning or bypassing the enemy fighters entirely. Given the enourmous ammo reserve Langley's fighters have a move like this isn't a problem for later when having to engage or strafe enemy planes. - Superiority of USN fighter squadrons. We all well know the difference of 4 vs 6 that makes direct engagement of Hosho's fighters against Langley's suicide. Even if Hosho's fighters manage to perform a perfect strafe on Langley's, full 4 planes squad, Langley's squad will still survive with 2 or even 3 fighters. A good Langley captain though, will never let his fighters be perfectly strafed. What's more he can afford an imperfect strafe against Hosho's fighters for positioning purposes or simply to cripple Hosho's fighter squad capacity: a 2 plane Hosho fighter squad can deal next to no damage when strafing and will die extremely fast in a direct engagement making then ignorable - Langley's torp bombers are easier to use than Hosho's. Nuff said. All in all I firmly believe, as well as some of the CV optimates in the EU forum, that Langley is definetly superior to the point of unfairness compared to Hosho.
