  1. They did, but yeah, the reward for doing it is so pathetically low you may as well forget the idea about being aggressive and just play safe. I'm pretty sure the majority didn't know or doesn't care about potential/spotting damage in the first place. Hell, most can't even explain why they kept losing money even though their ship is not damaged. Knowledge about how the economy works is too advanced for the average players, apparently. WG still haven't work out the kinks of in game economy and the players are too incompetent to read patchnotes, Double Strike Sorry but its actually the opposite. Look at other MMOs and you'll see that camping is everywhere. Its a dirty strat but it works and can contribute to victories. Staying to my suggestion, one way to address this undesirable meta without prohibiting it is to put credits multiplier that changes according to the range of engagements. Why just the credits? Because it rewards those that plays actively, willing to tank and sacrifice their ship if necessary with extra credits (even though they may not deal much damage for themselves), while keeping those that camps "happy" with their usual damage/exp farming at the cost of lower credits gain. Give players choices, viable choices, and reward them accordingly. They were build around the sniping meta and yes, they should. But imo they're more dangerous if they play aggressive and managed to mow down enemy DDs instead of sniping in the back. They are very versatile ship, and they're Russian. Why am I not surprised by this.
  2. How about a credits multiplier that increases over shorter engagements? The closer you are to the enemies, the more credits you'll earn.
  3. Mission Abuse by Some Clan

According to this rule 80% of the player are playing inappropriately and shall be banned.
  4. Camping behind islands

    You must've love Ocean.
  5. What's wrong to Montana?

You see, if your target audience are the less skilled playerbase, they won't notice or even realize the deck armor nerf because all they care is the lowered citadel height.
  6. ASIA Q&A, round 2

Hi Sub, I had some questions regarding the matchmaking system, Currently MM logic is to put the same number of equal tier ships on both team, which is fine and all, but would it be better if it take into account ship capabilities aswell? Me and a lot other folks have had discrepancies of ships capabilities of the same tier between the two teams. Sometimes we have 3 radar cruisers vs none at all, not good for the DDs on the other side which resulted in a curbstomp match nobody wants. Another example is the discrepancies between IJN DDs vs all DDs from other nation in terms of practical combat effectiveness. A lot of times I saw IJN DDs losing most of its HP or straight up dead early on the match due to them having to fight DDs from other nation that have the same superior concealment (particularly USN & KM ones) but way higher firepower. How can this be balanced by their torpedoes capabilities when they have to do a gunfight 90% of the times? But since each nation have a "gimmick" already, I'd suggest implementing nation balanced MM logic, so its gonna be USN/IJN vs USN/IJN (i.e Fletcher/Yugumo vs Fletcher/Yugumo instead of Fletcher/Fletcher vs Yugumo/Yugumo). I'm pretty sure this small change would make the match more equal between both teams without taking away variety.
  7. Well for some, an arbitrarily priced >$2000 skin is still a good value.
  8. But in the end, that's the main reason why you go for the KM BB line. If you don't go for secondaries on them you probably chosen the wrong line.
  9. Its not a glitch, you should remember that shells takes some time flying in the air. The impression that Bismarck gets 11km secondaries is because it fires the last secondaries salvo at 10.6km distance while both ships are sailing away from each other. Taking account the shell travel time plus the dispersion, I think it makes sense on why you thought its secondaries can shoot further even though its not. Regarding the secondaries, yes Bismarck currently have the best secondaries capability tier for tier and its the main reason why it should be specced that way. And it gets better on GK. German 128mm and 150mm secondaries gun shoots HE and have 1/4 HE penetration instead of 1/6 that other nation gets. With IFHE, GK secondaries have enough penetration to go through 32mm of armor. That is double the penetration of secondaries from other nation which means it can pretty much kill anything.
  10. All this weekend rants about teammates and yet not a single mention for those who suffers the same fate on the opposite team. Weekends are fun if you managed to potate the enemy team harder lul.
  11. Matchmaker still broken

Man you look old, might want to get those eyes checked first. Both sides faildivs a T4 CV and T5 BB and get pulled into T7 matches. MM works by taking account the highest tier ship in a division and do the balancing accordingly. It doesn't care about other ships in the division. It always works that way since the beginning. By queueing a T4 CV with a T5 AA spec BB, this is clearly an attempt to rig the MM to get an advantage over the other team. Tell me if that's 'fine and dandy' Unfortunately the division on the other team also had the same idea. Of course MM will match them up. Bonus points for MM to put all 4 chaps in a T7 match. They deserve it. If you faildiv you deserve to be uptiered.

  13. Maybe there's a hidden achievement for striking a top tier AA specialized ship using bottom tier stock CV.
