    You and I remember T6 Ranked VERY differently...
    I remember trying to play DD in high ranks which was just BB spam as usual on this server, min 5 BBs per team (Fuso's mainly).
    Basically you would reverse into cap and pray their DD was deleted by Fuso AP spam before you were, there is a serious issue with high ranked save star mechanic on this server. Other servers haven't been infected yet but its just BB spam because that's the only reliable way to consistently save your star (xp based mainly on DMG dealt). It's becoming so boring, dull and toxic it's not even funny. Ranks 22-5 aren't so bad.
    Until they change the system, or they open up a server transfer service doubt i will be playing ranked again.
    PS. Your better off posting on reddit, WG read and respond to people A LOT more there than they do their own forums. Sad i know but its reality.

    The problem is that the star saving system ruins ranked game play, and completely distorts the ships people play and how they use them.
    Ranked used to be about winning.  You would try your best to win the game, even if that meant you did somewhat risky plays on occasion or if you didn't get much xp - it didn't matter, it was all about the win.  You could still get salty if you had a run of losses, but the game play itself was quite fun, with everyone doing their best to win.  The saltiness was also somewhat mitigated by the bonus star on rank up (this was removed from R10 up when the save a star system was introduced), which gave you a 'soft irrevocable' each rank, in that you only had to win 1 out of every 3 games to stay at the rank, which meant you were much less likely to free fall a couple of ranks.  You did need a burst of positive win rate to move up to the next rank though.
    Then they brought in the save a star system, and it is at the point now where most of your team will be focused solely on star saving, the win is secondary, and for those that are trying to win, they always have it in their mind that they need to be maximising xp as well.  What this does to the meta is it means that people will bring the ship that does the most damage, and they will play to be safe while doing as much damage as possible.  This is why you see five Yamato's per team at 5-2, and it's why the further up you go the less DD's you see - they are just unable to consistently save stars like other ships can.  The game play is stale and boring, and you are competing with your own team as much as you are competing with the enemy.
    I'm sure most people, myself included, would like to bring the ships that they feel will most likely win them the game, however players know they can't be successful doing this, because without saving stars, you can't consistently move up once you're into the higher ranks.
    Ranked used to be fun, now it's absolute crap. If you're on the losing team you should get nothing, even if you get double the xp of the next guy, and if you're on the winning team you should get one star only. In other words, you should get the same rewards regardless of your xp received. This will mean that xp is irrelevant, and the only thing you can focus on is winning the game. Then you'll find ranked is actually fun again.
    This game mode is now fundamentally broken - there is no way this is the design intent.  WG, you need to fix it!

    So basically after getting to rank 9 I'm down at 11/0.
    My issue is thus, I get 100k+ damage in Zao + caps, get 3rd XP if I'm lucky, same story with Hindy.
    I get 100k in Yamato and top XP consistently on losses.
    This is not even to mention DDs.
    I'm starting to think T10 XP is very BB biased and subsequently this is why we're seeing games at 10+ with 0 DDs...
    I'm a good Zao player, particularly in CB or ranked, yet I perform superbly in her and won't top XP on a loss outside a monster game.
    Yet in Yamato, I'm average, I have what I would consider an average game and I find it easy AF to get top XP on a loss.
    Thus I reach the conclusion that BB is better for ranking up.
    Thoughts?

    Maybe its too strong, maybe its not. But its still under testing and I don't have a single clue why some people think their opinion has any weight when all you did is parrot someone else's opinion. And how you believe you know more about balancing than WG staff and testers.
    Last time WG allowed the playerbase to handle a ship balancing we got the monstrosity called Graf Zeppelin.
    So perhaps stop and wait for the final version to actually come out instead of throwing about incoherent rants about balance. Besides this is going to be a reward ship and not a premium ship so WG doesn't have to worry about legal issues if they change it later on.

    I don’t usually post in these but here’s some basic advice outside of the usual that is hugely important but 75% of Cruisers players never follow.
    - Controlling when you are detected is the MOST important thing in cruisers, especially fragile ones. Ie never turn broadside when detected unless absolutely nessicary, just stop shooting for 20 sec.. go dark then turn broadside and angle away, then start firing again. This is the no1 noob mistake that often results in dev strikes.
    - On top of this control the engagement, decide when you have the advantage and when you want to engage.. be patient, lasting the whole game means doing more dmg, not that extra salvo early on that gets you killed or costs you half your hp. It’s ok to not fire for a few mins even until your in a favourable position or have the advantage.
    - Be unpredictable, ie use a & d yes.. but with propulsion mod w & s can be a lot more effective. As soon as you see a B.B. fire at you, slam into reverse and turn in or out. Do this a few times, then don’t do it, often B.B. gets so annoyed after hitting nothing for 3 reloads will just ignore you. French cruisers can be totally troll with this, think I’ve had 3 mil + potential in the Martel before dodging B.B. shells.
    - Along with B.B.s.. always try to watch where they are positioned so they don’t sneak in and strike you.. always watch where they are aiming and try to count their reloads in your head to predict their next salvo.
    There’s a lot more but these are a good starting point to follow outside of the usual tips and focus on survivability which sounds like what you need help with at the moment.

    I am not sure if my observation is correct. Correct me if i am wrong.

    If the player is not connected, the turrets will not be rotated. If they are AFK, then it would be rotated (observed the aft turret)

    I was playing in a game where there were some members of the same clan in the game. In fact one on each team.
    What happened was the rank 2 person was playing, but the rank 5 person on my team was AFK.
    When we discussed this for a few minutes, the AFK suddenly wakes up and comes back to life. Game ends we lose, this person on the other team ranks out.

    How is this even fair?
    Me and some other team member will be submitting replays to Wargaming. Do you think wargaming will review and strip the rewards of these players?

    Not a very enjoyable game WG, please fix CV queue time and MM rules.

    1. They have decided it won't change for now, and they will continue to review it.  They will let you know if it does change.
    2. Since they have decided to leave it as is for now, there is no when.  If they decide to change it in the future, they will tell you when at the time.
    Pretty simple really.
     
    You can push them to change it by all means.  There is an excellent argument to do so.  Continue to remind them that it means a lot to you.  However, asking for information that simply does not exist is pointless.

    You're entirely missing the point of why they restrict times - it's to get as many clans on at once to give the MM pool as big a selection of opponents as possible.  I'm confident they'd love to have the numbers to just let everyone play whenever they like (like ranked battles) but this doesn't reflect the reality of the situation.
