Brettr got a reaction from Ordrazz in CV too OP but AA too weak. WG is punishing DD/CR players
I just played a game in my Cleveland. In the old days I could get 50 planes, but this game after being continually targeted by the CV and eventually dying from torpedo bombers I got 5 plane kills. Sad

It's never occured to you that there are things happening that you are unaware of, such as radar ships keeping them out of caps, another DD that keeps spotting them, a CA with radio location that turns to chase them whenever they approach, a wall of torpedos that forces them to turn away.

She's more than welcome on the HMAS Perth, as best mate, coxswain or something like that.

So I'm the only DD being shouted at by everyone noob DD! cap! cap! cap!

Great idea, how come I didn't think of that?
You didn't notice my 10% health? You didn't notice me approaching the caps but then turning away? You didn't notice me trying to flank to get my 12km torps on to CAs behind the islands?

So now I'm playing my Derpitz and shredding Cleverlands by the dozen.

Getting reported 6 times in a 7 player game is an amazing achievement.

I played two games last night. My doctor told me to reduce stress and I don't think I can handle anymore.

I generally have no idea what's going and just got rid of my Fubuki last week. I usually play T9; the only T6 I have is Cleveland and New Mexico. No way I'm going into battle with that slow lump of oil soaked firewood so it was the Cleveland.

First game, the other Cleveland on our team sailed off to the horizon at flank speed obviously worried that no ships would be left for him to kill. Fortunately the opposing team couldn't hit a barn, from inside, and with the door closed. Or maybe they thought it was an elaborate plan, or maybe they ran out of ammo, dunno but he escaped with a few 100 HPs. I told him to go and babysit the CV, which was a good plan except the CV must have thought charging into the enemy the prefered tactic. Or maybe he forgot which ship he was in as I don't remember seeing any friendly planes in the sky. The other Cleveland was a fast learner and decided not to follow - but also decided not to shoot - he'll probably pick that up in a couple of games and hid behind an island. Of course a burning CV attracts a lot of attention which allowed me to bag a couple of DDs and set their New Mexico on fire without any of them noticing.

Our Fuso was AFK. It was hilarious watching the enemy try to hit a stationary BB, or should I say stationery? because Fuso was  ... well eventually, on fire. We had one of those CAs with a weird foreign name and it had raced off to the other side of the map to cap A and was never heard from again. I guess he successfully defended it, as none of their ships ever went near it. I got citadelled by someone who was probably aiming at the island behind me but I managed to get 100,000 odd damage and 3 kills and finishing top of the defeated team. Being the shit of the kings is better than being king of the shits.

Second game, was much the same. I'm guessing guys letting their girlfriends have a game or two so they can get lucky afterwards. I tried messaging in English but I guess my Aussie accent was too hard as there was no answer. I also tried Japanese, pretend Chinese and boxes but no one replied. My knowledge of other Asian languages is limited to ordering beers and inquiring about the cost of short and long time.

The enemy CV must have confused the expression "expend all ammunition" with "expend all aircraft" as he lost half his aircraft flying over me to attack our CV, and lost the other half flying back.

I got into a one on one fight with another Cleveland who decided ramming me was his only chance. Of course it was, so I'm not being critical. Maybe this was my team mate from the previous game still trying to get the hang of "aiming" and "shooting". He was no doubt wondering why his shells bouncing off my bow weren't causing any damage(*). I went off to the head (naval term) and to get another can of Yebisu, forgetting that drinking is totally banned on USN ships. When I got back I was appalled to see we were down, 100 to 900 points. BUT ... we had a BB and CA against their single BB. If it wasn't so serious, seeing two New Mexicos, stationary, broadside to broadside at point blank range shooting each other like a couple of retards would have been hilarious. I think the CA was the same guy from the previous game still stubbornly defending A and out of range he shot his guns in
    Choose one:
    1) moral support
    2) blind rage
    3) misguided belief that the shells might get there with a tailwind
    4) all the above.
I suggested the New Mexico ram the other New Mexico to grab the win but we probably didn't share a common language or the captain couldn't read. Time out and we lost.

My favourite games were in ranked games but I don't think I can handle the stress of getting away from the noobs in lower ranks. Losing to good players is a lot more pleasurable than playing on a team of spastics with nerf guns and water pistols.

Brettr got a reaction from bradman158 in I need a rant. DD's spot & cap uncontested caps please. Oh, and learn to work together.
OP have you ever played IJN DD?  In my (old) Fubuki I could probably survive one encounter with any other DD and if they chase me I can't outrun them and all their CAs open up. Most of us are sick of not getting support so we are extremely cautious about any encounter. Of course there are lots of CAs drivers that will help us but we don't know that until it's too late.

Why do you do that? Because you can? Because it's fun? Because they deserve it?

Bullying and abusive people isn't so common WoW but it's one of the worst parts of any online game. I'm just trying to have fun and do the best I can, while some people just want to get angry and/or troll others (ie try to make them angry).  Abuse about game play is often based on lack of perspective and expectation that your idea of game play is the Truth.
